"Coy, have you lost your damn mind?" Clem says

"She's a Beaumayn, they DID aid us. They weren't there during the Accordance War. " Coy says

"We also got help from the Scathach at least THEY are modernists. And some of us STILL grumble about one of them unicorn boys oggling Tisha"

Clem counters

"So.. we close up diplomacy as soon as Jessica retires ?" A brow from Coy. "That's the plan?"

"That was ALWAYS the plan? I went to lodges, troll holds and the like for a reason." Clem says "It's as far as the elders would bend."

"And now..." he says "You're Chief. you're the one who does the bending." A brow from Coy.

"Oh don't you start. You know very well I can get over ruled here" She says

Coy nods then says "So... the little pooka girl was right.. this sidhe girl wants to come here because a friend calls it home...and her big crime seems to be wanting to learn about us and wanting Agnes' fudge. We're open to the world" Coy says with a pause for a beat "If you're the right kind of person."

Clem's eyes darken juuust a touch "I bet Constance is going to think you're the most adorable pig when I send you back with a curly tail."

"Isn't that sort of threat juust a bit aristocratic?" He says but does back up.

"No, it's AUTOCRATIC or even Dictorial.. and they can come from Commonr blood..." Clem says "I'll see what I can do about a CONTROLLED and very brief visit" A sigh "I Wonder if I can send everyone over 50 years old and up out for a dinner at Denny's at the same time?"

"I.." He reaches into his pocket "I got twenty bucks I'll chip in for that?" he offers

"Don't be insane I..." Clem's eyes are not dark , rather they spark with an idea "Coy, thank you for volunteering to play guide to some of the elders as they visit Fenix."

"Well, happy to.. hey what now?" He blinks

Clem pats his shoulder "Well, I need to make this a more pleasant visit for that little girl... so.. a few of the more stubborn folk OUT of the farm at that time .. why don't that just balanceo ut nice."

It's not a question. Nor.. Coy fears, an option

"What if Jessica says no?" He says

"Well, I dont think she will.." Clem says "But I trust you'll do your best to sway her . Now you go get that fudge, then head on back and make it happen. "

"I kind of thought MY part was over" Coy says

"Dont stick your nose into a black and white bush then act surprised the smell you stirred lingers"

Coy sighs.

"I wonder if Rivervale is hiring" He grumbles.

"Get your ass onto the fudge you're not fooling anyone" the Chief tells him and shoos him on.
