Clem returns the kiss with a heat that surprises her. Cadman is too damn full of himself at times, and this was the best way to shut him up. Yeah, that's it.

Cadman, for his part, is not likely to be feeling humbled soon.

That said, he's more than a bit startled at the passion of the woman. He knew when he saw her on Thyle she was fearless, but she held him at arm's length with reserve. He lets one hand trail along her waist, and she 'retaliates' by moving her leg up his ... fueling the fire.

And then... She parts as something buzzes.

"What in Hel's name ?" Cadman says

"Cell phone..." SHe sighs "And that number is one of the elders. I Have to take this."

"Call them back" He says running strong fingers gently along her side.

"No, it's the farm, farm comes first for me, you need to learn that right now or... "

He kisses her then parts , as much as he wants to extend it "Okay okay, but don't wander into lecture territory."

"I wasn't lecturing I was.. hmmph" She picks up the phone.

"Yes, Aunt Agnes? What? Argument over a what?" She waits for the response then "Oh now that's just silly grown men their age. Yes, I'll be over. No, I'm not far from the farm."

She hangs up "I have two go, there is a fight, of all things, over power tools. "

Cadman laughs deeply

"funny mmm?" she says

"Just we don't have them on Thyle, and i was thinking There they might be worth battling over. Speeding the work of a man so he does the same in half the time. Here? It seems silly, yes."

"Yeah, it's silly" She agrees, "So.. sorry, our uhm.. walk is cut short."

"No matter" He says "I will walk with you another time, perhaps at a more vigorous pace. "

Clem raises a brow, "Mmm girls prefer a marathon man to a sprinter..." She tosses her hair, "Just saying." And walks off.

Cadman looks stunned as she walks off, but then he admires the sway to her hips as she goes further away, and he says aloud "Challenge accepted"
