The Debukes are going to war, or at least an a raid. They have a gather point in the Dreaming where they will meet their allies.

"You have to let her do it" Earl says, not for the first time "She needs this, and so do we"

Clem moves along with him "Said I would. "

Then she adds "But her fair fortune ing us, are we letting her do that too lightly? might bite us if the spell goes wrong."

"Zara is one of the most potent witches I know" earl says firmly

"All right, all right" Clem says "Tradiitionally we leave this to Emmit, but he says her power in this should be equal to his or close so.. since I said we would, she will if she still wants to. Just stop chewing on my heels about it"

"Well, if we're going then we need to do it" Earl says again "I don't lie to Zara. It never goes well, and it.. it hurts her"

"Lies can hurt anyone, Earl, you're just more sensitive to her being hurt than others" She points out

"That's true" he says "But I will feel better knowing her magic is with me. I'm better with her"

"At what?" CLem raises a brow

"At being me" Earl says "I'm a better Earl when she's in my life. Even if it's only knowing I have her blessing"

"Oh dear, she's probably go mushy if she heard you say that" Clem observes

"Not why I said it, but thanks" He says

And they seek out Zara for their fair fortune
