Crossing the foot bridge is easy peasy for Sylvi. And she's got reasons to, like...getting away from an invading sidhe

Bancroft is one thing. That's Siv's problem. And he's common, in theory. But Ta... Nadeen?

She can't help but trudge a bit as she tracks through the leaves on the Lodge side of the bridge, pulling her cloak tighter around her.

Maybe just getting away to a place where there just aren't any sidhe will help. Even if it's only for a little while.

Maybe visit with Lanark...hang out with Kelby...see Clem....or just skip rocks by the stream. Anything.

To pass over the bridge is to...well enter another world in truth... and yes, the smells of the farm guide her through the trods and ...

She steps on the other side

"Who goes ... oh, it's you." Murray, the Storm of the hold greets her grufly

Sylvi stops and nods. "Storm Murray. Is it okay if I visit a bit?"

"Honorary DeBukes are welcome anytime" one of the few unseelie says "Well, in general. anyway. Not all of us are chummy. You're welcome to visit, but we're kind of on a high alert. Lots of strange foreign chimera poured throuh recently"

"You mean, from over the bridge?" A sigh. "I bet that's because of the dream dance that happened back home. I'm kind of surprised they came all the way through the trod...unless maybe it's because of something else."

"Hard to tell, but thanks for the heads up. It might explain them being so different. ..." A nod "Go on, deeper into the farm land should be safe"

She frowns. "Different, how?" She rests a hand on her blade. "I can help fight them."

"More like we're not familiar with their culture of origin...some kind of river creature.. for one"

"River creature? You mean...like a fish?"

"More like a scrawny bony kind of she creature that seems to like grabbing creatures and pulling them into the water."

Sylvi's eyes go wide. "How many of these have come through?"

"Just one that we saw..." He shrugs "As for fighting, damn right you'll fight if it comes for you or one of us, but for now, go on in. It's not an immediate threat. Just something to watch for."

"I...yes, sure. Thanks, Storm Murray." She continues on towards the farm houses, frowning and distracted. That sounds like Dika-Hannah, kind of, but what the heck would she be doing here?

As she goes in, she can see other DeBukes, Kith and Kinian alike, working the fields and harvest.

A few wave at her. One of them? Drops what she's doing and races towards her. Kelby!

The waves make her grin and wave back...but seeing Kelby brings a full smile. She meets her with a big hug. "Hey!"

"Hey, looking good, there, town girl"

"Thanks, Hayseed. How're you?"

"Better, Betrand and I are making up...bit by bit" she confesses "I apologized "

"Yeah, that one might take a while." A sympathetic look. "I really upset Colton right after Samhain, but I think we're good now. Pretty sure, anyway...."

"How?" Curious and sympathetic "if you wann talk about it?"

"Oh...it was just...." A frustrated gesture. "We were just coming out of that Samhain fog, you know, when you remember but not really? And...I think I got two memories confused or something...I thought maybe he...um...forced me...to do something. When we were both unseelie, I mean." Then she adds, "But when I thought about it, it didn't make any sense. I mean, I wouldn't have been kissing him when the mists lifted if I was mad at him."

Her mouth opens, then eyes threaten to darken "He ... you are sure he didn't try anything?" She looks ready to roll up her sleeves

"Um...I didn't say that." Sylvi blushes. "But...I don't think he tried anything I didn't want him to try. I remember...some parts...."

"oh.." Kelby simmers down "yeah, Samhain does more girls in they say. Uncle Emmit's awful, he calls it the Unicorn Killer." A face "He just knows that that thought makes a girl feel bad"

"Oh, that's awful! Um...did you and Bertand...?"

"well, Chief, soon to just be Hearth Agnes again, tells him to stop that" then "No we ..uhm... might have raised a little hell. I don't recall the full details"

"Yeah...." Sylvi frowns a bit. "Some stuff went wrong, but Siv remembers a lot more than I do. Hey, do you need me to help with chores?" She nods toward her abandoned work.

"Oh..shoot, uhm..if you want yo ucan go ahead and I'll finish up soon, but if you want to help I won't stop you either?" Kelby is torn between wanting to finish faster and not wanting to have a friend go to trouble

"You kidding? I'm not afraid of a little work, you know that." A smile. "Let's get it done. Then I want to tell you about things at the Lodge." More seriously.

"Sure, sounds like trouble?" So they work. It's not that hard, not for trolls, but it does help to have the load shared. what would have been another 20 minutes is cut down by half. And soon they're bringing their part of the harvest in

Sylvi doesn't really want to talk about it while they're working, but after they bring in their work, she says, "It's not like an enemy or something...but it's still not good. I don't know if you've heard already, though...we had a sidhe chrysalize at school."

"Yikes. Well," She wrinkles her nose "Right of rescue applies to the invaders too. Would that it were not always so."

"Yeah...but...it's worse. See, there's this girl, Tanya. She and Dagmar were foster kids together, same house, same foster parents. After Dagmar went to go live with Jaymes, the foster parents adopted Tanya for real. That was just a couple of months ago. And Tanya's the one the sidhe took." Her frown pretty clearly underscores the injustice of it all.

Kelby's mouth opens, and she declares (with the usual DeBuke gift for eloquence) "That sucks!"

"Right? But it gets worse...she starts ordering Dagmar around, and Dagmar tries to tell her to go F herself...and that's when Dagmar starts getting sick." A significant look.

"Why would she get sick from..did the sidhe foul fortune her?"

Sylvi shakes her head. "Turns out, Dagmar's oathed to her, from Before."

"Can theyfixit?"

"I don't know. They did some kind of divination the other day...Mountain Emmit came to visit, I heard...and they were trying to figure it out, but I don't know a lot of the details there. So...it's all kinds of messed up. I feel really bad for Dagmar, but then I keep remembering that...that moment when the sidhe just, WHOOOSH, showed up, and...and I feel so much worse for Tanya. I mean, she was a bitch, but still...."

"But she just had her life taken away" Kelby nods "Changeling way is better."

"I agree. Way better." She kicks at a clump of dirt.

"Oh!" Suddenly remembering. "What's with this river creature chimera thing?"

"Oh, some sort of scrawny woman chimera... But strong, and ccan pull you to your deaths. I heard someone wonder if it was a river hag, you know, redcap kin? rare? But it's pure chimera. MIght be tied to similar dreams. She yanked down a goat."
