"So.... what now? Do I just... track down the monster and, um, try to convince it?"

"Her." She revises

"I think so, we have to get close to her to use this" Zane says "Not right in her face, thank goodness."

"I was thinking... maybe it's dumb." She hesitates.

"I don't know if it's smart to get Siv too close to the beast. She might just attack on sight, or if she recognizes the Narwhal. Do you think.... even though tthey are "retired"...." She trails off.

"You mean get Siv's mom and dad to do this job ? You know Siv better than I but I think she might be offended "

"no, this crazy thing was my idea, and I'm going to follow through." She says, stamping a little foot. "Honestly, do you think I was looking to pawn it off?"

"Okay okay, sorry" He holds up his hands in a surrender motion

"I guess I could just give the locket to Siv and leave her to resolve what she started." A little reluctantly. "I just... you know, you don't have to be Fiona to be afraid for your loved ones. But if we both go? Jonas will be damned if he stays behind. And then if something happens to all three of us..." Hands thrown up. "Guess Zane get's to become a parent instead of a godparent?!"

Joking, but... not entirely.

"How about we find a third party that will TRANSPORT you...and let you do the work"

He smiles "You got this"

"Yeah, I was thinking maybe I could ask the Chie... I could ask Brekke and Frank to take me in the Kestrel. But... I guess they're not likely to stand back if so. Trolls, you know."
