Still before July 4th for Sylvi...

She might be surprised, or not, to find a visit from Kelby at her house

Given the mood her workingg with Colton put her in, Sylvi may not want a visit

"Hey, Kelby," she says with an attempt at brightness. "Wasn't expecting you."

It's the brightness of a very low-watt bulb.

"Yeah, City girl you can drop the act. I may forget how a lot of day to day mortal stuff lately, but I know you. And... I already got an inside tip you might be upset so... let me in so you can have a good ole fashion gripe"

Sylvi's smile vanishes. "Who snitched?" she asks as she goes to the kitchen to get them both something to eat. Hearth's daughter.

"Not.telling. Now what's going on? You look like someone stole your favorite shoes and then stepped in a cowpie with them"

She hands over a glass with Kelby's favorite drink, gets one for herself, and gets them each a danish sent up with her from the Rivervale kitchen. "Just a bad day. Ravager."

"Shit" Kelby frowns "Got to be more to it than that" She takes up her Mountain Dew

And sips "So... details"

A sigh. "Kelby..." She shakes her head. "It's just...I've got one idea about what needs to happen...and Colton thinks something else." A shrug and she sips her drink, as if that's all there is to it.

"About a ravager? Must be some nuance above this country girl's head"

A heavy sigh. "Fine. She's a mom. She's got a kinain kid. I just figure...she gets one chance. We keep an eye on her. Don't take a mom away from her kid."

Kelby winces "that does complicate things. We DeBukes treat our kinain better than most I like to think, thouh Sally Mae might disagree on some minor points. Still, that's a little boy or girl you're talking about, kithain, kinain, or plain jane mortal. Hard thing to do unnless you have to. What's Colton's view?"

She picks crumbs from her danish. "He's Liam. It's not even a question to him."

"Some Liams would refuse to heatherbalm a fellow changelingg about to die if it meant they had to ravage a mortal for the glamour to do it. I take it he wants her ass in a cell?"

"I think that's the gentle version of what he really wants," she mutters.

"Now, don't put more in his mouth than came out of it" She says "He maybe acting like a walking case of jock itch, scratching himself and irritating people with every move, but give him hell forr what he said and how he acted, not what you think he thought"

Sylvi gives her a narrow look. "I know what you're trying to do. You're insulting him to try to get me to defend him."

"If I wanted to insult I'd talk about how he lost an arm, got a new one, but now he pats himself on the back with it all the time" She takes a bite out of her danish

"Wowwww. Okay, that's harsh." She pushes her danish away. "Whatever. It's in Chieftain Hewitt's hands, now."

"I'm just saying, he's been all lit up having you in his life again..." She munches "Like the Dreaming must love him more than most cuz he's got you"

A grin "How am I doing?"

"Kellllbyyyyy," she whines. "Look, it's just been...stupid today. I'm not great company."

She shrugs "no one is 'on' 24/7. Look, I know you said it's the Chief's hands, and it is, but the fall out about your relationship isn't. You knew Colton was a Liam for a while now. I'm not sayingg you have to love him as he is, but I am saying that if I were dating a fellow of a certain House and acted like that wouldn't bias him one way or another you'd give me a sad sad headshake. And he bettter realize that a big part of you is giving second chances. Win, lose, you have to aks yourselves if you two NOT agreeing is a deal ender for the relationship"

Sylvi blinks at her. "When did I say it was a deal ender for our relationship? We had a fight. I'm annoyed with him. I didn't say...." Then she stops and blinks again. "Did HE say that?!"

"No. He didn't." She says .. "he's surly, cranky and.. .acting kind of like you." She smiles "Okay. So it's not a crisis, your relationship I mean. good. "

"It's... I...I don't think so?"

"It's not.. something's been bugging you before the ravagging...though, so glad it's not him.

"Well...like I said when we were coming back from the trod..." She shrugs. "A little homesick, I guess."

"Mm yeah.. and that's lingering? Or did the success with the theattre turn it aorund?"

"Well, I mean, it's good to get good news. To see a plan to come together."

"Did Sully plotz like you said?" Curious

A grin then. "I almost had to pick him up off the floor. Oh...the first show is gonna be Music Man."

"OH YES!" She pumps the air, then blushes "Fine... I've been conditioned from an early age"

A chuckle. "Yeah, I figured you'd like that."

"I do...hey, look" She sips the mountain dew "Do you want my opinion on the ravaging thing? What I'd do?"

"I wouldn't mind, I guess."

Though she seems to be bracing herself.

"If it were me, and I wee still on the farm, I'd drag her ass back to Mountain Emmit, and have him lay a curse on her ready to go off next time she ravaged. Or put a magic mark on her so she could be scried on super easy or tracked"

Sylvi listens, and nods. "Those both make sense. Maybe you should suggest them to the Chieftain."

"If need be" Kelby shrugs "Now, whether I was wise or a fool, did it feel better to get some of it out?"

"I don't know, Kelby. I mean...yeah, I guess?"

"I just..." a shrug. "I just...have to think about it a while."

"Well, you'e a person not a radio... I can't flip a dial on you .. just hope I help and if I donn't we carry on" A pat on her hand "Sure, sort it out. now, want to talk about MY recent scare?"

"Huh? What happened?"

"I got flirted with!" She admits "took me clear off guard. That hasn't happened since I returned"

"Wait, what?" Sylvi smiles a bit. "Where? When?"
