"Of course I'll go," Kelby seems excited AND outraged "They're kidnappers"

"I figured you'd want in on this," Sylvi grins.

"Think you need any gear you don't already have?"

"Weapons, armor... I'll need a first aid kit"

"Okay, let's check out the armory first, get you suited up. Not exactly a mall shopping trip, but we enjoy what we can," she adds with a wink.

Sylvi leads the way so they can raid the supplies...well, borrow from, anyway.

"Oh I've got my own arms and armor..." She waves that off "I just.. the first aid kits.." She stops and stares at some beautiful javelins "of course, one can have MORE than one weapon"

"Yup, javelins it is. Choose one. And then I think Marcellus can help us with the first aid kit."

"Dandy? What weapon are you usinng in this?" A grin "I seem to recall you city girls can fight SOME"

"I've got my spear and my Bowie knife. Those are pretty much my go-tos."

"It will KEEL" She remembers!

Sylvi beams. "That's the one!" Then she sighs. "Wow...just a couple of years ago, but feels like...well...."

She'd been about to say a lifetime, but then realized that that's too close to the truth for Kelby.

Kelby finishes it "A life time" A smile "It's okay, I know"

An apologetic shrug. "How're things with you and your family? I know it's been difficult."

"oh. I'm... they're worried I've been zombified but they love me, my folks." A pause "Little sis is the best. she's got my back" Speaking of Kourtney

"The OTHER DeBukes.." A sigh "I think they're wanting to SHOOT the zombie"

"She's fierce, Kourtney is."

She echoes the sigh. "That sucks. Want me to scold 'em?" A wry offer.

"A better healer than I'll ever be," then she grins "Well, you're a DeBuke too so you gotta right, but no."

"Honorary," she reminds. "I won't push it without your say-so."

"Maybe things'll change eventually."

"There will be a time when the farm will find itself having to embrace old enemies against the true threat" She sighs "But I won't word it that way" A tilt of her head "Geez, this has to be weird for you. Bridge indeed. Alllying with Ailil, working as a Bridge here... and still loyal to home"

"Well, situations like what we've got going here make it kind of easy. Everybody working together. I just..." a pause "I know someday there'll be a big conflict among the holds, and I'm just hoping I'll know how to navigate it when it happens." A bit of a sad look.

A tilt of her head and Kelby puts an arm around her shoulder, "Hey, you're a natural with people, and... if anyone can do this dance, you can."

"Well...I hope so." A pause. "Do you miss the Farm? Like, are you okay that you can't really go back there easily?"

"Sometimes... I ...yeah" She admits "but... it's not the only farm in the world annd... it's okay. I knew the price. Annd nothing is set in stone"

"Yeah. True." She gives her a hug. "Come on, pick a javelin, and lets get that first aid kit."

She pulls out a smooth one of dark metal "Oh come to mama" Sounding VERY much llike the kelby she knows

That gets a laugh.

And, that makes sense, because it is! The Dreaming gave her back! And selfish as it might be to be happy your friend is back, like her dad says 'Da'an screws over a lot of innocent people, so don' feel bad when it gives you a freebie you're not sure you earned. Just enjoy'
