The tour was amazing.. the place was so grand, it wasn't just the decor, but the feeling of it. To not use this theatre for what it was made for seems to be a violation of Beauty is life!

Sylvi can't help it...she's agog as she stares up at the vaulted ceiling and it's dim and dusty grand chandelier. The building might need work to be sure that it's safe for crowds, especially the balcony, but...oh, she can imagine it.

"You know...it could serve double duty. Stage productions some days, and second-run movies other days."

Sullivan huffs "I suppose everyone needs two jobs just to make ends meet these days"

"I'm just saying, it can serve dreamers who have different interests." She explores the wings backstage, the dark areas reaching up to the rigging above that supports the pullies and lines for curtains and scenery.

"And yes, I know, they're not all going to be dreamers, but we can hope!"

"Optimists are delicious" Sullivann chuckles then says "Careful... sometimes the ropes pull back"

"Oh, I'm not touching. This stuff is...oof...more complicated than it seems from out there." She nods towards the audience. Then a sigh. "Okay, so...we need to figure out how to keep your partner happy with not selling this place. I can talk to the Chieftain. I don't think he can put the money out just like that, but I think he'd support efforts to raise the funds to keep it going. Or...to get it going again, more like."

"I also met some folks in Kansas City running a local theater. Maybe I can get some tips from them about how they keep it together."

"Good, because while I have the fishnetts, the johns just aren't paying like they used to" Sullivan sighs and touches a support beam "Kiddo, if you can help me save this place, I will dedicate a play to you"

She gives a wry grin. "It won't be just me. I mean, there's no way I could do it on my own. But if I can talk to the right people and get the right people interested, we have a chance. Okay...I don't know a lot about finances and stuff, but can you show me your records and give me an idea of where you stand? I've got a friend who's crazy good with math and accounting, and I bet she could help me understand it all."

"Ah.." A blush "Actually my partner has those being looked at by top men. Top.Men."

A flicker of ..what was that? A chimera or another kithain..something

"Oh. Well...as your partner, that's certainly...." She blinks. "Wait...Hello? Somebody there?"

Sullivan looks up

"Oh.." he sighs "Come on out"

the boggan boy peeks out. She might have expected a sluagh as quiet as he is.

"Oh! Hi!" Sylvi smiles, and glances to Sullivan. "Friend of yours?"

"Vagrant" Sullivan sighs

The shy boy nods at that

Sylvi is puzzled. Where are the boundaries of this pooka-speak? "Um...hi. I'm Sylvi. What's your name?"

The Boy hides partly behind a post

Sylvi sits cross-legged on the theater floor. "I promise, I'm not coming closer. You can tell me from there."

"K-k-k...kenny" He says stutterinng over the word

"Kenny is special, you see?" Sulivann says "Royalty. Tha's why I said he was a vagrant... he's just slumming here. Like Colin Frith did "

The boy smiles at the pooka

And the pooka smiles back, fondly

"Oh! Well, it's an honor to meet you, Kenny." She nods her head respectfully, still seated on the floor. "So...you're living here? Are you..." She looks to Sullivan. "He's okay here? Safe, fed, all that?"

Kenny looks a bit thin for a boggan, not starving though

"Kenny's always coming back here, circles this place like a buzzard I say" The vulture pooka tsks "Amazing how many pizza slices I've lost here"

"Well...that's helpful. But a kid can't survive on just pizza." My mom would have a fit. "What's the situation with home, Kenny?" She says it gently. She knows most fae don't have the kind of home life she had at his age.

"C-C.." Hard Cs... "Cold! I dont 't t..." Kenny struggles

Sullivan says "Remember what we learned, Kenny? About broadway?"

Kenny starts to sing "My parents aren't only merely cold, they're quite harsh and dreary cold!" a snippet from Oz

Sullivan says "Can't shake him off rhyming verses.. I think it's a boggan curses... they can't talk straight like we pooka who drive herses"

Sylvi nods. "Okay. I don't know what the Chieftain's policies are about getting childlings out of bad homes, but first things first... in thanks for showing me the theater, I was about to treat Sullivan here to a meal to discuss it further. Want to join us?" She looks to Sullivan. "Is there a good diner here? Something more than pizza, but less than haute cuisine?"

"Sure you don't want the pizza? Were in ROME.." he puts an itallian trill on it "Fine fine, I know a place" He motions to Kenny

Kennny seems to be warming to Sylvi

"Good." She stands up. "Don't get me wrong; I'm not made of money, so don't go ordering lobster or whatever," she winks to Kenny.

Kenny shakes his head somberly. He would NEVER

How dirty is this kid? He's a boggan, so maybe not too bad...?

NOw that she has him in the light.. gah, the kid's a little grunggy thing

And they head out...it starts raining

which is one way to clean a kid

"Oh, well...let's make the best of this." She looks through her bag to find a kerchief for him. "Wipe your face off a bit while we walk, okay?" She gives it a little twist before handing it over...maybe it's not a proper cantrip, but certainly some spring energy could freshen him up a bit?

He wipes with it, andn it seems to work wonders.. that and the rain anyway... much more properly cherub like "Thank-k-ks"

"No problem. Glad to see what you look like under there."

He smiles and blushes

"Oh sure, clean up the prop guy while the ACTOR gets drenched.." Sullivan says as they head towards a dinner/resturant called the Iron kettle

"You're a big boy, Sullivan. I'm sure you can manage. Besides, it makes you look all dramatic." She looks at the name on the place. "Ummm...you sure about this?"
