"Like SERIOUSLY" She says "I don't think he's gone pooka on us. I mean.. 12 K.. 6 each. .I.. guess I'm used to being poor but that seems like a lot"

"I.. I sort of figure I'll give it to my parents?"

"Oh ... yeah" A grin "They'll probably put it to your college"

"Maybe? But... like... what would I do with that much?"

"Depending on the college that will not ..ah I don't want to depress you" She catches herself

"Want to go in and talk to the Chiefttain? "

"Well, like, with CJ and everything... I'm sure there's lots of stuff that'd help."

"You're a good daughter... you know that?"

"I'm a lucky one."

"Guess it goes boht ways" She leads her fellow knight in

"You did. Doesn' mean you're hteo nly one who benefited. I mean they CHOSE you. CJ? TThey love him, but he just came long" A smile "That's how adoption works verses the old fashioned way"

“That one I think is lovely...” Linnea remarks to Hewitt, her gaze on the chieftain and not on the necklace. But she straightens to attention and gives Dagmar a trolling salute as she enters with Lavender. “Dame Dagmar, a pleasure.” Going silent so they can barter.

"Thane Linnea, Chief Hewitt."

The Chief says "Oh, yes, it suits your colour and.. ah, but forgive me " And he turns to Dagamr "Dame Dagmar, always an honor to have a Daughter of Rivervale visit. Dame DeLorean tells me you're the co owner of the golden treasure?"

"So it seems?"

"Well, I offered to smelt it down .. tis no trouble. It's worth 12,000 dollars american and I can pay you in that in exchange for the gold"

"I.. just... you have that?"

"Aye. " he says "And don't worry you're not leaving me in a lurch. We'd make a ttidy profit by turning gold into art, commisions and the like. "

"Now if ye prefer, I can take some of the gold and have it crafted into necklaces and rings as you like and take some of the gold in payment for it. You'd have fine beauitufl things rather than just crass coin"

"I'm a satyr, crass is okay" Dame DeLorean assures him

"Ohhh..."

"So I could maybe..." She frowns. "No, the money is probably better..."

She chews on her thumbnail, fretting.

The Dougal looks at her, with sympathy, "Lass, I understand you do a bit of metal crafting yerself?"

"Just tin and wire, so far. I've done more with wood."

"Oh! And pewter! I did some casting, once."

"Would ye like to get 5000 dollars in money, and instead of that last thousand, we help guide you to use a smaller bit of gold in crafting ? You could learn a bit, and get a lovely something for your folks. "

Her eyes widen and she nods!

"Gold is incredibly soft, compared to some metals. But you mustn't let it intimidate you with its faux fragility... " he grins "When would be a good time to work on yer creation?"

"Oh! Um. I'm doing online school, so it can be kinda flexible..."

"Well then.. our best hours are..." And he names them

She nods again, earnestly.

The satyr is looking embarrassed "Okay. I feel small and petty and uncreative"

"You're no lass, it's easy to get lureed by wealth as it provides so much" The CHief says "Also I'm a Dougal. Crafting will always be of more value to me than money"

"Well, I could maybe make something pretty for Tove..."

"Be happy to show you how, lass, but the important thing is your vision.."

She purples a little. "You.. you ever see those mom necklaces?"

"O course" he nods "the ones what spell it out? Very elegant script at times"

"No, not exactly... I could draw it?"

"Surely" And he pulls ou paper for her

She sketches - a larger figure embracing two smaller ones, the arms forming a heart. "I saw it online..."

"Aye yes, we could do that" he nods

A look peering as the satyress looks "Oh. it's a FACE kind of... I thought it looked like a .. oh nevermind. it's lovely"

Brow furrow. "Is it dumb?"

Linnea, listening as she waits unobtrusively, glances over. “It’s a bit of pretty. You would know your mom best.”
