Outside the front door of their dwelling

William checks before he opens it, of course. Several different checks, in fact.

Looks to be two changelings. One troll, one Boggan. He's not familar with either

They have ...yard work tools

The troll is saying "I don't know about this"

"Tish tosh, Mr. Stodgepole is a fine old boggan gent, everyone says so" The boggan syas

"Well, maybe he'll be insulted by our offer" The troll says cautiously

He has a look for Callidora.

CC looks amused, and mutters 'Your call. If you want to break out the 'get off my lawn' in your best grampa voice I can understand the urge, but my guess is they're looking for work"

"Mmph. I'm dubious about unsolicited offers of such." he murmurs, near her and well away from the door.

"Then want me to tell them no thank you?" She asks

"Mm, no, I don't want you anywhere near the door. I'll send them off." he takes a protected spot where a direct attack on the door won't reach him without a moment to respond. "Yes?" he calls out.

"Sir? My friend and I noticed your lovely yard, but it could be even lovelier, and with leaves starting to fall, you shouldn't be burdened with clean up. " The boggan says "Let US do it for you, for a modest price, we can get the high places, we can get it done quick and professionally"

"No thank you." he responds; no reason not to start out politely.

"I understand, you don't know us, don't know our quality, but we have referals and pictures of past tasks if you'd like verification?" Hopeful

"No. Thank you." Firmly.

The boggan looks ready to make ONE more try, only to be pulled back by the troll "Thank you for hearing us out, sir. Is it okay if we leave you a card before we go?"

"No need. We're not hiring at this time. Good day."

"Have a nice day, sir" And the troll guides his boggan friend away

CC looks amused as the two leave "If I said 'who are those nice young men?' right now in a loud voice, you'd glare at me for hours wouldn't you?"

"I would." he confirms, watching surreptitiously as the pair depart, making sure that they -do-.

They do. Heading towards Caesar's house. Well, that's his problem.

CC wraps arms about Emerson "Think they were up to something shifty? or just pushy kids?"

"Call Caesar, tell him to be on watch for them."

"I will" she grows serious and grabs her phone

A moment later "Filled him in" she says "You think they were casing the place?"

"Could be. Better safe...."

"I hadn't even thought of that" She tuts at herself

"You just did." He points out; the duo are gone?

Oh yes

"Mmm well, I've gotten trusting over the years. Wonder how THAT happened" Drily

Despite her attempt at humor, her not seeing it till NOW does seem to bother her
