"Meanwhile we have mooks in the alley. Where shall we stow them for the time being? They can stay napping indefinitely."

"Mm I suppose the freezer would be bad. Spoil the flavor ofo ther things"

"Can't have that, no. Hm. A motel?"

"Or, my place at the Arms?"

"mmm Arms would be more secure"

"There we are then. I can have Hugh and Rocco move them now."

"They will be out for a few hours yet; I'll have one of the boys stay and give them another dose to deliver when needed."

"Oh Hugh would probably enjoy praking them his way if they do wake"

"I'll leave it to his discretion; as long as they don't get away."

"They do not get away" She agrees "Really, the nerve, no, the CHIC, for these cretins to tell me what we can do with OUR club? WHO we can invite?"

"The attitude they can dictate what anyone wears, or loves, or anything at all about another person." he growls.

"Indeed, dreams of tyrannizing others on how to live , we don't need more of that"

He sneers. "Indeed." darkly.

"Well, these folks have just volunteered to become the subject of ire"

"I'll just go have Rocco and Hugh move them." he kisses her cheek and rises to do so .

She returns the kiss with a bit of passion, then nods

With a happy little smirk he trots out to the hostage site.... er.... bouncers, and gives them his hotel room keycard with instructions. Obviously, descretion is paramount.

Rocco nods taking the keys "You got it, boss"

"Good men." He hands over a little leather case "If they stir, you can use these. A nick will do."

Rocco nods, takes a peek, then closes it "Boss, I don't care if you are a boggan, remind me to never get on your bad side"

A small smile. "Little risk of that, Rocco my boy. Now, one of you remain here on guard, the other can return with me to the Club or see to your own business. You can work out relief for each other here?"

"Not a problem, boss"

"Excellent." and he returns to the Club.

Things are a bit more energetic among the staff. Word has gotten out there was vandalism, and it makes some of the staff nervous wondering if it's safe, and others just curious as to details

Stodgepole calls a meeting and reassures the staff that the authorities have the prepetrators in hand, and an investigation is on-going. "Of course, I cannot volunteer details, but I am satisfied that, for now and with our current security, we will be fine."

"We will, of course, be additionally vigilant. No one is to walk to thier car or depart the Club alone. I will bring someone in to mind the back door and put extra security at the front plus someone to roam the Club when it is open." (He will make those calls as soon as he can.)

They trust him. He's always been sqaure with them. One lady relaxes at the offer of escort, "Thank you, sir. But Miss CC and you own the place. Are you taken care of?"

"We are, thank you."

That seems to releive more than a few.

CC comes in (On time) "Sweet of you folks to worry about us, and we're grateful , but it's like Mr. Stodgepole says, we have it covered. You let US worry about you. You're the best damn club staff in the city and we treasure everyone of you. I won't do that 'we're family talk' because that always sounds so fake. You all have families, good and bad. What you are however, is professionals, and ones we like. We hope you like us back but we sure can't complain you help me keep the seats here filled."

"Hear hear."

There's some light applause and assurances they are the best

CC goes on "July 4th is going to be one of our low periods here, so we're closed that day. I want everyone to have a blast with families and friends. I'll be with my grandkids, Of course. However, if anyone is interested, I have two tickets to 1776 at the local theatre where YOU get to sit down and enjoy a musical. It ain't Hamilton but without it Hamilton wouldn't be here. So if you're interested, and have nothing else to do July 4th Eve. Pull a number out of the hat" She offers a derby used for her act, "And the winner gets the two tickets. If you're going to resell them, don't let me know, I shall be annoyed. If you're going to gift them to a loved one that's another matter. "

In the spirit of things, Stodgepole goes to the bar and fills a clean bus tub with ice and bottle beers; not the imports, but hey, it's free. He brings it out to the meeting. "Just one each before service, please."

"Yes SIR" One guy says grabbing fast

Some reach into the hat, of course. Taking up their various numbers

He gives Callidora a little nod Well done.

CC winks at him

And soon, she's reading the lucky number "Number 11? Anyone got..."

"Got it" A guy grins "Oh heck, the wife is going to love this. Thanks"

"Hey, don't thank me, Luck of the draw and a chance granted by hard work. Give Rachel our love" CC tuts

"And now!" everyone has had a chance at a beer and there's been a sense of community "Let's get to work on giving our guests the very best experience tonight."

Cheers and "Right on" "Back to work, it's showbiz" And so on and they go off to do it with enthusiasm!

Once they do, CC turns to him and says quietly "That went well I think"

"Indeed. I suppose we can wait for our Kitten or we can consider our own courses of action...."

"Let's wait a bit. The goons are on ice. "

"And we can get things back to normal"
