It's possible this has left him in a sour mood

A touch grumbly, yes. But.... well. He -is- in love and there's no good in denying it. Hmph.

He's more himself, CC guided him carefully and took advantage of him ONLY a little. Besides, she got rather coo-ey goo-ey herself. He got spoiled back some.

"Morning, dear" She says from the kitchen , the smell of food filling the air.

Maple bacon, poached eggs, and french toast are in the works

"Ooo..." He looks the repast over as he pours himself coffee "It looks wonderful."

"THank you, I thought something not too challenging, I wasn't sure about the maple bacon but it was on sale"

"Well, short of seasoning and curing it ourselves, I think it's a reasonable choice."

"mmm " A nod "I think we'll leave the curing and seasoning attempts for much later. "

"I believe the season is fall, for that."

"Too true" She says "How much pepper do you want in your egg today?"

"A dash." His usual.

A nod and a dash it is. She knows his lingo, her dash and his dash, a 'smidgen' , ' a touch'... all vocabulary they comprehend together

One measures some seasoning from the heart.

She hums and soon sets down two plates and she joins him, "You've spoiled me rotten for nearly a month. "

"Mmm... I do enjoy spoiling you. Purely selfish, I assure you."

"Mmm I had to return that diamond necklace, it was just too much" She says "Though it was nice to try it on for a week"

He tuts. "You made it look lovely. You should have done it a favor and kept it."

"It had it's time," She smiles, "You know the only thing I really need about me regularly are your arms."

Then the phone rings

He gives her a kiss, and goes to get it.

"Boss?" It's Hugh, one of his bouncers. A pooka so the story maybe garbled "Someone is BAD"

"At the Club?" instantly alert.

"No, at the Club" He pookas "They want us to get our hair styled. Only mean"

The boggan huffs. "Damnit Hugh!"

CC arches a brow "Trouble?"

"Sorry, boss, Rocco is on Mars" meaning the straight talking redcap isn't on the phone

"Trouble, and he can't tell me where he is. You try. I'm getting dressed." and he gives her the phone before dashing (in a rather portly way) up the stairs.

"But I.. oh fine" She says but takes the phone, "It's okay, Hugh. Just take deep breaths and try again"

Upstairs, he dresses hurriedly and picks up a few little tricks to hide away in his clothing before rushing downstairs again.

And CC is 'trapped' talking to Hugh, so she waves him on. She'll rejoin him

On his way to the club, Emerson pulls over when he gets there and... it's hard not to miss it.

The Club has been vandalized... in Garish paint the word "GROOMERS" has been slapped down

His eyes narrow. Before he exits the car, he searches the area around him; anyone watching?

With his cell phone, he looks up and calls a fire and flood recovery and restoration service that can respond right away.

Hugh sees him, and says something on HIS phone, then hangs up and comes out to him "Boss boss..."
