Emerson goes up to change, and soon is in something more suited to a non holiday

And soon back down.

Dawson/slyfoot has been well fed. He also had his hands washed.

"Shall we walk you home, then?" he claps his hands briskly.

"Excellent" the boy says taking both his and CC's hand. They head outside, and walk trhough the neighborhood.

The walk takes a bit longer than expected..

Emerson gives Callidora a look over the boy's head, one eyebrow up.

She agrees, "Dawson... shouldn't we be at your house by now? "

Dawson says "just a bit further... oh there is is" He points to the toystore "Isn't it nice?"

"Dawson...." firmly "We could take you to the bed and breakfast and leave you there."

He looks up at CC hoping she'll be the weakest link "It's my birthday you know?" his ears wiggle "Kind of"

CC looks at Emerson as if to ask 'If I give into this you'll lose respect for me, won't you?'

He sighs.... again.... and pulls his wallet out to find and offer a credit card. "I'll wait here."

Slyfoot hugs Emerson quickly "You're the best FGF in the worrrrllld"

CC smiles "Nothing over ten dollars, Dawson."

They go in... it takes a bit

He'll wait. Patiently.

She comes out with the boy in one hand "run" She tells him

He doesn't waste breath, but starts running. Questions later, escape now; this motto has always served him well in the past.

She picks up the kid and runs...her saytr nature getting her in the lead. Behind them, Emerson can hear something like a flood water coming out of a geyser

The boy says "We sure taught them!"

"Yes you did, it was sweet but next time ask first"

Emerson puffs and blows, pounding along after the fleet-of-foot Callidora.

They stop about a half block away, "Okay... Dawson, I Appreciate you trying to be gallant"

"I'm actually BOYant" He assures

"But," She continues "I am used to people calling me somethings, and I can defend myself"

"Cal.... Cal.... Miss....." he wheezes, red-faced "C.... C...."

She moves to him, setting the boy down "Hey easy, take a breath, slow, easy..."

"Is he okay?"

"Not now, Dawson..." CC looks Emerson over carefully. SHe has some medical knowledge

He's out of breath; exercise is not his strong suit, and his age is showing.... but he's not about to keel over. Not yet, anyway.

"Wh..... what... hap... happened?"

"Let's find a bench for you to sit down on"

There's a cafe just down the street a bit, and he limps there for a glass of water and a sit. "I think I could manage a touch of brandy between my lips....."
