Rocco comes in the morning with news for the boss

He finds Mr. CC in their office; he's sharpening a blade but puts the whetstone and knife aside. "Come in, please. Drink?"

"I wouldn't say no" He takes it when offered, "I found out who hired them. SOme Belgain guy... Deniaud DeJanker."

Stodgepole curses impressively.

Rocco nods, and he does seem impressed, he's heard nockers do it with less style "As for the goons themselves, they will not be troubling ANYONE again. Do you want the head of one mailed to their employer, or maybe just a hand?"

"You have information on who they were, and where they were from?"

"I do... took a bit, but I got names for the gun men."

"-NOW- you're speaking my language, Rocco. Let's see what you have."

He takes out a note pad and offers it up . Three namess. One ex military, one an Ex Cop, and one a former gang member trying to make it as kidnappers and mercs

"Good man, Rocco." He murmurs, and copies it over.

"All I needed was one alive to talk, then... none were able to when I got what I needed" Rocco says "No body touches the boss lady like that and gets the priviliege of breathing, boss. Sorry it got THAT far, boss. They got the drop on me"

"They used a sniper, Rocco. None of us expected that, or know why. Unless you got that out of him as well?"

"Just a dart to tranq from a distance. Take out her protection, me, then the others rush forward as she gets shot too. That's when you came in I think boss. "

An eyebrow. "They weren't expecting me to be with her?"

"Either that or they didn't expect you to be a factor. They knew she had a body guard, so weren't surprised to see me"

"And didn't expect me to be a bodyguard, of course."

"I saw some of your shots. You're either lucky or better than i expected, boss."

"Lucky, Rocco. And not very lucky, at that." he reads the notes he's copied. "You offered to mail pieces to this Belgian; you know where he is?"

"I know his mailing adress ... but it might just go to his office"

"I'd like that address, please. Is it local?"

"AH, sorry" he says looking sheepish "Europe. Ghent I think?"

"No, no, no need to apologize." he assure the redcap "I'd have hoped he was local but didn't really expect it."

"Maybe he's got like a vacation house nearby? Or a regular rental?"

"Something I will certainly look into, yes."

"Rocco, since they failed, and they know they failed, and HE knows they failed, and that we have at least mundane defenses.... security here and at our home must be increased."

"Upgrades are fine by me boss. Firepower, Gun Power, or extra surveliance?"

A sigh. "I know what I would like to do, but I should consult Callidora lest we take steps she feels are ... constrictive."

"Yeah, she's got a wild heart at times" He nods

"Yes, she does." fondly "Between you and Hugh, can you call some contacts, get a bit of extra security manpower on board? I want 24/7 for now, both at home and here; for Callidora, and for the buildings and grounds."

"Well, sure. I'll get our other guys on it. You wanting just kithain or will kinina and sons of adam do?"

"Those you trust, any stripe. My initial impression is that this Belgian isn't Fae or connected, but he could be something not entirely mortal."

"Geez. Okay, yeah. I'll see to it. Folks who can deal with the weird and scary"

"Capital."

He regards the information before him. "Hmm. I'll need to do some digging on this."

"International is a bit out of my league, boss. i'll gather up more muscle"

"Well, we don't need eyes in Ghent. Yet."

"Gotcha" He nods "I'll start on the hiring now if you want or I can stay here if you like"

"Mm. We're on guard now, and in our own bastion. We need help, yes, but... just now? Go get it. I will take care of Ms. CC."

Stodgepole nods. "Good." he glances at the camera monitors to locate Callidora.

He gives the monitor a dry look, makes a note to clean the lens, and heads to that area of the Club.

CC is having a martini, very dry with olives

"Dearest." he greets her as he slides in next to her "You are recovered?"

"Much better, thank you."

"Good." he is obviously still a bit stiff and sore, but hot baths help "We have news." he offers her the notes "It was indeed your Belgian friend."

"I knew there was something off about him" She reads

"Wealthy. Not Fae or Kin, but not entirely mundane either. Not Dauntain, we would have known I think. Perhaps the -most- usual piece of him is a craving for you. I can hardly throw stones."

"I suppose I should be flattered I have a stalker, but that's so 1990s"
