The club is buzzingg on low simmer as CC and EBG return after a week.

A troll sings on the stage, doing a damn good Dean Martin.

"Spencer is in good voice" CC notes

They called ahead, of course, to notify staff. Arriving for service early, they made their welcome-back greetings and settled in. Now they sit at a banquette with a drink each.

"He is." Emerson agrees.

April comes up, in an elegant gown, and plays Hostess, "Welcome to CC's Ember Club, I hope you're enjoying the service" And she winks.

"April," CC rises to hug her "An expert on trees , plants, AND hostess? "

The troll kinain, and blonde of the Maude triplets, beams "Welcome back, CC. Yes. I'm buying Caesar time to deal with a guest. "

"And Emerson, you're looking snappily dressed, as usual" April Maude adds

"Oh thank you my dear; you'll make an old man blush." he chuckles.

"Oh, it's easy to flatter when it's true" April assures, then blushes herself "truth to tell, a year ago I wouldn't have the nerve to try this hosting. Right now, I just ask WWCCD? Whatt would CC do"

"Probably flirt more shamelessly" CC admits

Emerson chuckles again. "She is certianly a north star for us all."

"Obviously anything you want is on the house, " April smiles "I happen to know the owners."

"Dearest?" Offering her first order.

"Oh, well," CC sighs "Oh, I suppose I should go for a diet coke"

"Diet Coke?" April arches a brow

"I gained weight" CC mmphs

April looks the older woman "I don't see itt. But If you did, it went to all the right places"

"Oooo" A look from CC to Emerson "See why she's my favorite?"

"You -do- look luscious, Dearest. Perhaps a bit of rum in that coke? Lime wedge?"

"Okay, you bent my arm" CC sighs "I can resist anything but temptation" she brightens "Now, where is my son, and what guest is he seeing?"

"Oh not out herre, in.." A lowered voice "Behind the looking glass" Meaning the freehold

An eyebrow.

"oh." Cc says "Oh my. " A look at Emerson

"April, do he wish to be alone with this guest?"

"Well, I was raised not to trust nobles.." She frowns

"A noble is back therre?" CC rises "I think we may have to hold off on those drinks"

"Oh, now, let's not be inhospitable." he says with a tight smile "I think a tray of drinks could be just the ticket. April, would you be a dear and fetch a few choices from the bar? I'll serve them myself."

"Of course" April says and goes to get get some from the bar.

CC whispers "What are you planning?"

"Oh, just to protect our reputation for hospitality, Dearest. Caesar took him behind the glass; he must have had a reason. I won't drink, and Caesar needn't worry, with his stamina."

"mmm knowing my son, he just folded wih sympathy"

April comes back witth the drinks

"Well, let me go see." He rises, and a few clothing adjustments later appears to be a waiter just like any other on the floor. He takes the tray. "Back in a jiff."

"I'm going with you" CC insisted, and moved with him

"I'm just a waiter here, ma'am." he reminds her humbly "I'm sure it's up to you."

CC rolls herr eyes, and enters in....

WELCOME BACK! CC AND EMERSON! flutters the big banner over the balefire! Suddenly its easy to see where some of the staff regulars were... Caesar grins back in their center.

"Welcome home, Mom, Emerson" the big satyr says

Emerson observes this, rolls his eye, and drinks one of the drinks.

"You nut!" CC hugs her son, tthen looks over "Earl! you'e the noble?"

"Guilty" Earl says "Welcome back"

Emerson grumbles, but offers his hand to Caesar and Earl in turn.

"Unnecessary, boys, if it was a kind thought."

"Oh tosh, I wantt my party" CC grins , she calls out to the crowd "Folks, I am one hundred percent healthy and FINE!"

Emerson smiles and passes his tray to Caesar and Earl to take a beverage from.
