"Agreed."

"And how is Beverly?"

"Happier, her son avenged, and... her poetry has improved. Oh, take a look at this..." she hands him an letter "She asked my opinion"

He takes it and reads.

Brenda's poem reads like what if Robert Frost and Thomas Paine had a love child, catchy verse and imagery, and utter rebellion heaping scorn on the timid who wear yokes rather than strive

He smirks. "An unexpected bonus."

"She wants my opinion on if she should use a nome de plume or use her own name. What do you think?"

"As a rule, we hide, no?"

"Right of Ignorance."

"Oh I doubt she was going to use poems that mentioned changelings per se, no 'Ode to killing a sidhe tyrant', though if she did, I bet you'd buy a copy"

"I would, it's important to support local artists."

"You're quite the patron..." A smile

"Mm. I can be quite patronizing, yes."

"Well, that too" A peck on the lips "I still remember when I asked if that lemon tart was tart.. i meant TOO tart, but you just had to have fun at my expense" HIp bump

He chuckles; his mood -has- eased with time.

"If sarcasm was glamour, you'd make more than the bale"

"Flatterer...."

"I suppose I am" A smile

"Now, want to work in the kitchen with me? "

He bustles into the kitchen with her.

The two are soon cooking.

And CC will prattle about the grand kids.

He's a boggan. He can half-listen to prattle and still seem like he's paying rapt attention.

And she loves him for it
