At least there is that.... and yes, that's a twist. During this time, in this season, of course she would want to see the babies. And of course, she would want him to go with her..... but this.... is different. Not a whiff of complaint, not a crumb of put-upon long-suffering when it comes to caring for the infants. He's technically skilled at it, of course, but this is... dare she say genuine? Would it be tempting fate?

Even his tone and expressions mellow, so the babies look fuzzily on a gentle face that cuddles and rocks and bounces them in turn.
