"Why did I let you talk me into this again?" May Maude snaps irritably. She has twins in her, and from the way she feels, she's guessing it's Cane and Abel or Romulas and Remus or something... "These two are trying to kill me"

Ah, the last month. That most joyous of times

"You may be perfectly selfish, my dear. I am so grateful to you, you know."

"This kids must know I don't want them, and they're trying to take me out. " SHe says "What can't I have a surgery and just yank them out now?"

"Still too soon by a bit," CC says

some very creative cussing from May Maude

It should be said, May Maude has proven to be very useful in the small misions she's done for the network. Most people over look or dismiss kinain. It can't be said how MUCH they dismiss a woman who is 'preggers' (A term that May Maude has said that she's come close to killing over). Despite her ire, when on the job she has played up to expectations of 'mom brain ' and acted the ditz to get closer to targets to spy on... and successfully.

A wistful sigh. "I could quite have my head turned...."

"If I'm attractive to you now, you need therapy" May Maude says.

CC smiles "I think he's speaking of your cunning dear, quite alluring to him."

"That too." Agreeable. "Perhaps a foot massage?"

"If your lady won't get jealous?" She says admiting it would feel good.

"Honey, who do you think will handle the other foot?" CC fehs

"Well, sure" She says

He bustles off and returns with massage oil and towels.

"Do take a seat...."

She does "Well, glad I still have some brains.. or at least cunning" SHe says "honestly I'll be glad when they let me handle soem real missions. I had a perfectly good opportunity to plant incriminating evidence on a knight that would have his baron at war with another baron and they told me to let someone else handle it"

CC tuts her, "Oh dear, you're going to talk shop" She helps take the shoes off.

A sigh.....

He handles the other shoe and starts working.

Experience with hooves helps....

It does, though the woman's swolen feet do not resemble CC's dainty hooves (Dainty being CC's preferred descriptor for her hooves ...she began plotting the demise of one man who called them 'blocky'.. and the fellow was drunk at the time), May Maude seems relieved to get her feet up and her shoes up even before they start

"There......." softly, pleased.

"Ooo thanks' May maude says

"The least we could do...." he glances at CC.

CC is oiling and working the other foot "May Maude, you're in the last few weeks. We're here to help it pass"

CC then looks at Emerson wit ha knowing look

He sighs wistfully, gently pulling and releasing, working a knuckle in.

"Oooo geez... if you were twenty years younger and I wasn't feeling like a whale about to explode on the shore" May Maude mutters

"Don't discount experience," CC grins not offended.

"Besides," CC adds, "They might have not have known about the opportunity without you, so you had a very big part in what happens next."

May Maude smiles pleased at that too.

"There will come a day, sooner than you expect, when you are not pregnant. And, when you are twenty years older." A twinkle.

" I am most impressed with your work, my dear, but I fear we are at a point when you must reserve your resources."

"I hate being helpless" SHe grumbles "And I really resent CC made me promise not to name them anything spiteful."

CC raises a brow "I admit, I am biased against 'Little bastard' and 'Son of a bitch' ..and in the case of the latter, not sure you thought it through" CC says

"Yeah yeah... " Grouse

"What names -are- you favoring?"

"I've got a list of very UNDeBuke names" She says "Petty, but it's kind of a 'take that' to the clan" May Maude admits

He finds a knot and bears down. "Such as 'Earl'?" Smirk.

"Oh please, there's been more than one Earl, though usually as a middle name." May Maude says "Almost any DeBuke name you hear has been used before by the family. Just older uncles or aunts or cousins"

"And you are considering....?"

"I thought about August just to keep the month thing going" She says but then wrinkles her nose "But then I realized it sounded too... oh what's the word?"

"Noble?" A mutter, giving CC a look.

"Predictable" CC says

"Well, if you wanted noble I did think about calling one Duke." SHe looks amused, "Take that, Earl"

A snort.

"Do you TWO have suggestions?" SHe says as if CC hasn't hinted for weeks

"Sorry. Sinuses."
