The big satyr nods as CC talks to him

"Hank," CC says, "I realize, Highsummer, right? You gotta have your fun."

"Thanks" He grins

"But others are kind of gonna notice," CC says "Not that I don't appreciate the this on some level. And by others, I mean unenchanted, the authorities, the press?"

"Uh huh" Hank nods "So...."

"So, if you're going to give five nuns a bondage fetish have them tie up in a chain of colorful silks and follow you around that's one thing, but they don't wear the wimples in my club"

"But then no one will know they're normally nuns" The big satyr almost pouts

"My point" she flutters her eyes

"Okay... I'll make it put them back on when I take them to the park after the show" Hank sighs

"Don't forget your scooper," CC jokes. At least, she hopes he takes it as a joke and gets back to work "Forgot I had Murphy set to show up on High Summer"

And So Murphy shows up at CC's.... a redcap bouncer in a made man mafia style greets him with a nod at the door and lets him right in.

The lady at the bar tips her derby, "Your brand, sir" And winks. She's young enough to be his..well, to be a student, yeah. And he finds the stool and mic set up. CC saunters to him, "Ready for an introduction?"

*He smiles to her, putting his tuner back in his case but leaving it open, years of having to get out in a hurry showing. Sure thing Ms. CC, I'm ready. *His old cherry red resonator guitar is polished and tuned

"A man whose ready , able, and in tune... oh you'll be fine here." CC steps up, "Ladies and gentlemen, our next performer is a man I've been hoping to get...." A pause sways in the air as she takes a breath to the amusement o the audience "On the stage for quite a time. A traveler, a man who has lived and nearly died doing it, his fingers bring you the spirit of the river and his voice carries the cadence of the roads. I give you a man who knows all the shades of blue, who bears the name of a river and might have heard it share a few songs he'll pass along to us. Personally thrown out of some of the best places so he could join you folks who are the best people...." A wink to the Eshu " Mississippi Murphy"

Interest arises, some applause, but it is after all, a 'show me state' so lavish praise must be earned

*He tips his hat to the crowd, a certain energy rising about him, not glamour, just pure charm and charisma Shoot Ms CC, much appreciated. Thank ya folks for coming out, if ya don't mind I'd like to tell ya a few stories fingers starts to pluck at the strings slowly* This here song is called "Death Letter Blues". *And he launches right into it with a slap and stomp of his foot, driving the song like a funeral train. It's a song of Love and loss, and perhaps something even worse: never having that love returned

Heads slowly begin to bob and weave. Where as CC hits the torch songs, sultry and seductive, the soulful saga Murphy unleashes works itss own unique magic, a magic of hard times, hard hits, and hard lessons.

*He finishes the song and wipes his brow with a blue handkerchief that he pulls from his vest pocket Thank ya. That song was first sung by a fella name of "Son House". Been lots of loves been lost over the years, but some punch harder than others. Especially this one. A slightly more upbeat rhthym his voice takes on a more raw tone for "Whiskey Head Woman"*

While the audience enjoys the new song... Murphy might see a pooka in the background preparing what appears to be a roman candle. he notices that redcap bouncer walk by, and bite it half when no human is looking then points out the door.

That works. The pooka is shooed out, the mortals are focused. Another pooka looks nervous but shoots the Bouncers and innocent look, and then, the poor cricket looking fellow seems to get lost in the next song. his fingers dance.

Murphy realizes that guy has music in his soul. Well, Cricket pooka

One guy doesn't seem to like the whistling but his friends at the table poke him and shush him before he can complain. Two women at a table sigh at his sound.

And when it finishes, there is applause, it would appear he's won the crowd over so far!

CC comes out "Isn't he wonderful? Alas, I am legally obliged to give break times and he's more than earned his..." A nod to Murphy as more applause comes out... a few talking excitedly about him.

A guy on a Piano fills the space while Murph takes a break. CC approaches, "Beautiful Murphy, you dig right down to the roots of the sound."
