He works, head down over paper.

Flips forward in the stack, seeking... nods to himself, and makes a note.

Muttering softly, he consults a small notebook, and then continues writing on the stack.

He looks up, thinking... his eye catches the empty desk across the room, near the bank of monitors that shows the club's day work being done.

His gaze lingers on the empty desk chair, and his expression grows both wistful, and frustrated.

He closes his eye, and shakes his head briskly, pushing himself back into the moment.

The boggan reaches into his jacket's inside pocket, and he opens the black leather case that emerges. He touches the vials inside carefully, almost lovingly. His expression might alarm those that know him; that is, if there were anyone who knew him.

He nods, satisfied with the state of affairs in the case if not in the office, and puts it away.

He turns back to his paperwork.

The potted fern plant sitting on the desk across from him grows quietly.
