"Rocks? " Irene's mother asks "Oh right, for ah.. Grette, right?"

Shopping would be easier if her mom was enchanted

Still, at least they're at a flea market that has some geology stuff

No fleas , though

"COOL rocks. Lookit, this one looks like snowflakes!"

"That's festive, for sure."

"It is" Her mom says, "Would grete like it you think?"

"I think it's pretty."

"She probably will too, and she'll probably love telling you and others all the odd litltle facts." Mom has been working less, or more accurately, standing up for herself more against her boss. Something about remote work options being out there now. Irene suspects Sir Mortwyl helped her with that. Mom WAS mad a him, but brought flowers and chocolates and stuff.

And this means more dinners together! And seeing Mom after school!

It has been wonderful! Though sometimes she ggoes out on dates with a certain Gwydion, but that's okay too because she often is enchanted the next night!

"Now snowflake stone for Grete" She nods as they move through the flea market "Who else needs a giftt?"

"Felicity, and Ashley, and Nessa."

She pauses, trying to rememberr something but the mists have taken it, "Well, Felicty and Ashley I know very well. Let's see... Felicty likes mystery books and movies ? I think"

As point of fact, most Eiluned do. And there are plenty of book sellers here

"And unicorns!"

"REALLY?" Feigning shock

"Maybe there's a unicorn mystery....'

"There's always a chance" She nods

The person selling books however, seems perplexed "A .. unicorn mystery? Well we..don't have one. I have books that are mysteries and some books about unicorns, but... not unicorn mysteries"

"Hmph!"

"Well, uhm there IS the Last Unicorn" the man says as Irene and her mother give him that disapproving look "It has a mystery where a unicorn tries to figure out why she's the last."

However, it is possible Felicity has a copy. She's not sure

"That sounds like a unicorn mystery, yes!"

"Is it pretty? If she already has it, it helps if the new one is pretty..."

"Oh yeah, see the artwork?" he shows the cover "It's got illustrations interspersed, the story stands on it's own though"

The cover looks so sad, so struggling, but still beautiful

"Oh, it's pretty. Yes."

"Okay, we'll take i, obviously" Irene's mother says "Keep looking about honey, see if there are other books you like"
