Wenceslaus sips after saying this, then says "All because a Jinn girl, that younger of the Ifrit, decided to tell a Squire to not 'bother' a Witchtel. Our new guests are interesting, no?"

Cliff nods. "Immigrants seem to always make for interesting times."

"In a chinese proverb way?" A sip "I confess, I have been spying on them ... very different. Becareful of the shaytan she's... there's something about her that I distrust"

"Mm. Just 'something'?"

"She's sly,," He nods "And insightful. Seems to know whatever one wants.. I don't know about you, but anyone who can peel away my inner secrets with a glance worries me"

Cliff nods slowly. "Time to withdraw to the shadows until they move on?"

"Just with her I think, do the seeing, don't be seen, the usual. The others, go ahead and approach if you wish. "

"Mm." a soft grunt of acknowledgement.

"They all arrived together. The Afghanis. You think they do not talk together, share information?"

"They're more diverse even among their mortal tribes and lines let alone thier fae. SOme of them are quite urban, others more rural... I think they have their cliques like any of us"

"You know how this jinn interacts with the others?"

"Tasneem, the one that worries me? She's already making inroads with smuggling rings"

"The local mortal ones?"

"Indeed" A nod "You know those circles?"

A shrug. "I could; they have to eat too."

"Noted" The slaugh rep nods "Any observations you have about the new comers?"

"Spoke with one. Not Tasneem. Permaz. We cooked together. She said she was Qareen. Seemed interested in learning and sharing what she knew. Worried about the Baroness's nature and reliability."

"A sensible concern for any newcomer" He can't find fault with that

Cliff nods. "I told her what I had seen."

"Generous. You may have a valuable contact in the making with Permaz. "

"I will cultivate it."

"Wise. Is there any troubles, as your representiative, I should attend to?" Almost embarrassed to ask but the position falls on him

Cliff gives this due consideration.

"Not that I can think of."

"Fuel prices are challenging but...."

"Have you considered a hybrid vehicle? Do food trucks come like that?"

"They do not. Too much draw on the electrical. Need propane, too"

"mmm" A pause "I'll see if I can find a nocker who knows alternative fuels or the like but I admit it's not the sort of thing I feel versed well in"

"Truck has to work in the mortal world. Not much access to dross." he points out "Range is an issue too; need to cover miles between towns."

A scratch of his chin, "Maybe the Rovers could help. Vehicles can be enchanted. If there a trod that can get you from one point to another..." He ponders

"mm I can get you some dross I think, now that it's not all farmed by Harkson. How it might be used to help your food truck, I'm not sure"

"Mm. Thank you, but not needed. I am ok."

Cliff nods, but clearly is not very concerned about it.

"if you were a tea, what kind of tea would you be?" A sip

"Sovereignty." he says after some thought.

A thin smile at that

Cliff seems completel serious; also, not unaware of his play on sounds.

"A childling I met, one of our kind but not a local, asked me that question. I found it..endearing and have mused over how superior it is to the 'what kind of tree would you be?' question"

"I suppose that is an ice-breaker." Cliff acknowledges.

"Indeed, " A sip "Feel free to spread it if you like it"

"I will keep it in mind." Cliff nods.

A buzzing in the distance

Cliff lifts his head, hearing the sound; insects?

More electric.. as they are meeting at the hold... and are high up... mmm

Cliff looks around for the source.

So does Wenceslaus, They both peer out the window and see... drones. Not seeming to target the hold, but dangerously close. No Doubt only sluagh hearing would have picked it up
