The Wichtel seems to have made good on her promise to keep distance - she's not anywhere to be found inside the hold. Kitchen, playrooms, her own bedroom, the nice, cool underground lake - no Grete. Nor is she out in her "work zone", the spot outside where a heavy duty extension cord stretches to let her run her small rock grinder and yet save everyone's ears.

Cathir sighs. And keeps searching

Even daring to risk the landsharks

A few of the sharks circle around near the fort, and a light is visible from inside. Perhaps they're looking for handouts from within? (Or maybe waiting for tender Gwydion toes to touch the sand, yum yum.)

She throws some trail mix and bacon bits then casts willow whisper calling out "Sharkey Sharkey Sharkey Do, I have a question or two for you"

One land shark be spelled, peeks up

"Do you know where Grete is, please?" She asks

THe landshark says "I do know where she is" Helpfully

Catir sighs as she realizes that yes, that was an answer to the question

"WHere is Grete right now?" She clarifies

"Alone" The shark says "And she wants to be"

"I didn't ask her state of mind or condition, I asked her location, soooo..." She throws some more food

"The fort we cannot chew through" It answers chewing "But remember, she wants to be alone"

"Noted' Catir sighs. Well, SHE wants to be not talked about behind her back. Looks like no one gets what they want. She goes up to the fort and knocks

"Go away! I'm busy!" Comes the irate call from within.

Gwydion dar says? True or false?

Iffy... probably not really busy

A breath, and she says "I'm here to apologize"

"For what?" She sounds cranky... and wary.

"Well, I'm not entirely sure" she admits after thinking it over, "That is, I'm just guessing. But.. Kushaaneh came to me and told me you didn't want anything to do with me and to stay away, which... is hard, because we share the same freehold and Sparrow loves you and as her squire I'm going to be around her some. I'm not sure WHAT I did wrong, but I think, and I don't kNOW, I just trying to figure it out with whwat i heard from Kushaaneh, you think I'm bossy. ANd you think didn't do anything worth while. THat.. hurts... but I DID intrude when you were talking to Kushaaneh and defending Sparow's honor. But I love Sparrow too and I've known her in two lilves so it's hard for me to stay quiet when I think she's treated badly. Still should have let you finish first, and I'm sorry about that. I don't mean to be bossy"

"Why are you HERE? Didn't you have your own freehold? Don't you got your own family?"

"Sparrow IS my family" A bit annoyed at having to state what is obvious "I was part of her ayrie, until it was gone, gone forever, my REAL home is long gone, Grete. It's ash and memory and I can't have it back. So my home is where Sparrow is. "

The door is really more of a curtain hanging, which Grete has strung through with polished stones that clatter almost musically when she shoves it open, though there is nothing so happy in her expression.

"We ALL lost Arcadia, you're not special because you got to stay behind when common folk were scratching for scraps in the cold." Grete retorts. "I know how sidhe work. You peeked back in and decided to come back, stole someone's body and life and booted them out. Is that family not good enough for you? You have to come take another?"

The young Gwydion bristles, then says "Hardly! Most Gwydions were oathbond as much as any troll ever was, to obey the Lords of Arcadia, when the Retreat was sounded, we were dragged by Oath to obey. And this body doesn't HAVE a family. You're the one with rich parents and a privliged position, you're the 'poor little rich girl' here, not me so don't blame me for your hang ups just because your uncle was an asshole balor" A snort "You asked if I had my own family, and I told you, Sparrow and Gray are IT. I'm sorry you hate YOUR family but that's not MY FAULT"

"My family WAS my Uncle! He's the only one who understood me and listened to me! I LOVED him, and then a a sidhe booted him out and took his place! I had to watch him change and turn and go dark and torture everyone. THAT'S the family I had until Sparrow came! My parents are so stuck up in tiny cold world that I'd shrivel and die and they'd probably be glad to have Marguerite back - you'd like that, wouldn't you? Then I would be here to offend your _honor_ and you could take over. That's what you want, isn't it? You can have my friends, and my house, and all his money and his lands and be the heir and rule it all and I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON IT!"

"LIAR!" The little girl punches Grete in the face!

It's ON! Grete dives forward to tackle Catir, letting her own fists fly in a rough-n-tumble brawl.

Grete's in for a challenge, she has more muscle than the sidhe girl, but Catir has been combat trained even in hand to hand. Good thing the falcon didn't bring her weapons! Elbow in the ear!

The wichtel is strong and tough, but untrained. She scrabbles and loses hold, then swings again - not above fighting dirty or hair pulling.

Well, the berserker doesn't seem to much care about fair play either right now, there's an irony in that. The little girl flares with fury and for a moment, Grete sees just how terrible a sidhe can be... these were worshiped as GODS once

She turns away, flinching from the brightness - only to get a small fist to the chin. Grete can deal with THAT - she closes her eyes and HEADBUTTS! She doesn't have to see the sidhe to fight her as long as she has a hold of her, right?

Headbutt! Rapid jabs to the solar plexus from the sidhe. Catir's trained as a healer, even in a rage she has a rough idea how to hurt someone... but Grete gives the Gwydion a black eye!

Grete is hurting now, but too stubborn to give up!

Grete gets boxed in the ears and that sends her reeling...

now outside the fort, both girls are too busy to notice the landsharks getting upset until...

CHOMP!

One Landshark moves to protect their friend, that is, the Wichtel, and locks onto the Sidhe's leg and pulling her away

Grete sees stars...

Rubbing at her eyes, she looks for Catir, realizing she's no longer being pummeled, or has anyone in range to pummel back. "Had enough?"

And the sharks start to converge on the sidhe to feast

(though with the first pop to her nose that connected, it may sound like "Had Enudd?")

An angry scream, berserking even as they bite and tear at her

It takes Grete a moment to see what's happening. "Hey... HEY! HEY!" And she DIVES into the pile, kicking and punching and shouting - this time, trying to tear the sharks away from Catir.

Some land sharks do back up from Catir's divine outrage

but only the ones facing her worry about that...

Grete kicks one off the girl... then punches another

"Itsy... itsy bitsy spider - down came the rain, and washed the sharks right out!" She shouts at them, working up a primal cantrip bunk, summoning a splash of water onto the landsharks

And brains beats brawn, or at least landsharks... like cats hit with the spray of a water hose, they scatter

And possibly onto Catir and herself too

"I'm sorry!" She shouts at the sharks that are leaving. They didn't know better. It's not THEIR fault.

And then turning back to Caitir, she sees the wounds and repeats, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't want to fight any more."
