"Okay" he shakes it,though he winces a bit at the elbow if he thinks the girls aren't looking

Kushaaneh then puts her own arm up "My turn, Grete"

Grete props her arm again. "Ready?" A grin, maybe a little cocky.

"Ready"

"Ready!"

"Go" Ganbold says

and the girls strain, this time it takes longer...

Grete grits and digs in. She'll show her 'doing it wrong'...

Kushaaneh grits her teeth. Grete may notice she's actually getting a bit hot to the touch, not so hot as she can't be handled mind you. But slowly, Grete seems to be beating her

She pushes slowly, but the heat is distracting...

And for a moment it wavers back, then.. Finally, Grete's last heave pushes the Ifrit's hand to the ground

Well, to the table

THe Ifrit curses angrily as she loses

A bit of sweat popping on her forehead. "it's getting warm in here..."

"Good try!"

That seems to calm her, "You wicthel ARE strong." A nod "i see why you make such good miners. The stone does not break for weaklings"

Ganbold nods "It was a good match. Fun to watch"

"And you've been traveling and stuff. We'll have to have a rematch when you've been around a while and fed up proper by Pepper."

"The food here has been nice," Kushaaneh admits "Mary Ellen? the shy one? She is kind"

"They are both kind, food here is fit for a khan" The Ganbold says "You should ask Grete. She is rich and has had many fancy foods, but she likes Pepper's cooking better than fancy places."

"Fancy food ain't that great. It's all, 'here, have one little round bite of steak, and a streak of sauce with three drips and one walnut." A scoff.

"In my village that would be a feast for some" Kushaaneh says "even in such small amounts"

"I WOULD starve given that little" Ganbold declares "A khan has hungers"

"Are you hungry?" She asks Kushaaneh, a bit puzzled. "We have lots of food here. Enough for everyone."

"I Have been well fed, though, perhaps I am a bit weaker than I thought" She looks at her arm

"You just need to eat up more for a few days."

She nods, certain.

"I will" She nods "But I don't wish to be a rude guest"

"Then just do what I do, and ask if you can help out. Pepper'll let you know if you're in the way, but sometimes she lets me wash dishes or stuff."

The Ifrit nods

"I bet you'd be good at drying?"

"mm? Oh" She looks down

"Well, we are warm" A nod "normal fire doesn't hurt us. Magical ones can be resisted"

"Can you light stuff on fire? I met a lady who is a stone - or the soul of a stone, or lives in a stone... it wasn't very clear, but she was cool."

"I can, but I have to use a cantrip"

"I can do that! I'm better at stone or dirt though. Sometimes water.... I have to be real careful though, because it got away from me once, and mashed a monster, but then I fell asleep for like, a WEEK."

"I am still learning cantrips" Ganbold announces though he wasn't asked.

"I bet you'd be good at quicksilver, since you're already so fast."

"I can hopscotch already..." after a second "Most of the time"
