"Hello Pepper, I hear your burgers are worthy of a Khan!" He grins

"VERY worthy."

'Hi praise' Pepper smiles "I read somewhere online that burgers were invented by the mongols"

The boy's jaw drops "We did?"

"I'll double check but I think so" She nods, "Be a bit"

"No way!"

"Do Mongols ride unicorns ever?"

"This is a sign" Ganbold says "I am... destined to be here" he says

Olgar looks amused

"Are piskies lucky? Good things are happeing to me since I met you, Irene" Ganbold clearly thinks it takes a village to build his destiny

"Oh, very lucky, yes!"

"Piskies fit in everywhere."

A grin on the boy "Well, I am grateful. How may I repay you for lending me your luck?"

"Oh! I don't know. Shiny things?"

"Shiny things are always a good option."

He reaches into his saddle bag "I have this"

"Ohhhhhh... can I see?" She holds out her hands.

He offers it "I won it in a game. Here, a good khann should show generosity, plus , well, the luck"

"Are centaurs nobles?" She takes the shiny token, turning it over and feeling all the little symbols with her fingertips.

"Well, Tiara is, but I must earn my khanship" He nods "Annd that's fine by me"

"That's cool. I might want to be a squire."

"Well, she's our best page" From the kitchen, Pepper kept an ear out. "You kids want onion rings or fries?"

"Yes please!"

"Well, which?" She calls out with a chuckle

"Yes?" Ganbold seems to agree with Irene!

"Yes!"

Giggling again.

"Rover, help me out?" Pepper calls out

"I like em both" He grins and winks at the kids

More laughter the kind that is fed by and feeds more laughter yet.

"Okay okay fine, Burgers, fries AND Onion rings, you little trouble makers" Pepper calls out

"I like her i think" Ganbold asides to Irene, "She is a good sport"

"She is!"

And shortly "Dinner is ready!"

"Thank you Pepper!"

"Thanks, Thane" Olgar nods

"Thank you, Pepper! Feeder of hordes!" Gannbold says as...

oh the food is set for them, tasty burgers! Crunchy fries! And yes, sizzling onion rings.

Irene merrily stacks both fried sides onto her burger, along with a generous squirt of ketchup.

"Now Ganbold, I didn't know what you liked on yours, " Pepper says "So put on ketchup mustard of whattever as you like. Now Irene, yours I got"

Yes, her favorite pickles

With the addition of the french fries and onion rings, her burger is now quite tall, and several toppings escape when she attempts her first bite.

But Pepper does't make a fuss about that
