For Clifford, word takes longer to reach, but not much longer. Galorian Leech, who some sluagh considered a bit of a myth, connfirmed and captured

Cliff serves another round of iced tea and listens. Fort Davis is too small to sustain a full food truck route and menu so he moves around the surrounding towns. That's just as well; lets him network.

It does serve him well. The other towns nearby, at least their changelings, are adapting. Some are wonderinng if the new baroness is expanding, and is that good or bad? His opinion is sought on her character

"Can't speak to her character, don't know her well. Pays enough. I think she's trying to earn local respect."

Nods. Most agree that the fact she seems to WANT commoner respect is a good sign, better than Harkson who never gave a damn

Cliff sets out a few snack bowls of chapulines.

One pooka would like to try Buffalo wings made of real buffalo

Cliff nods and turns to the kitchen. Unfortunately, it will be hard to hear much that follows.

Which is a blessing to Cliff. The pooka likes to chatter

Unbreaded buffalo chunks with a buffalo-style hot sauce is easy. He serves and listens again.

"And so the hunters are in the hoose gow... and the Leech has salt on him... and rumor has it sluaggh are paying for any news of his rolodexes! Pass it on!"

He nods.

And the pooka charges off

Cliff checks his schedule; next stop?

Mortals. Mm looks like some baseball league thing

Well, they'll probably be hungry at least. He adjusts his earplugs.

A good idea. It's a back and forth horde of yammering nose pickers ! Still, they do eat in bulk annd that's good money

He notices one of the kids seems lethargic, disinteresed. Well, there's always one

He makes a glance do the work of a closer look.

Is that.. oh geez. Differennt town from Fort Davis so no wonder this boy slipped through some cracks. He's a changelingg but he's run out of glamour

From within the truck, Cliff gets a notepad and jots down a physical description, name of the team, sponsors. Does the kid seem bilingual?

Si!

He notes that too; keeps an eye out (easy with his sunglasses on) and a nonchalant attitude. Not his rescue to make, at least not right now. He can let the right folks know, though.

And so he makes a note of the boy, and even notices which car his parents drive by checking their plate

Color, Style, License, Make, Model.... year, if he can figure it out.

He's not really a car-guy.

It's black and.. got room for brats

SUV/van kind of thing. he notes.

And soon he is swamped againn. One kid wants an ice cream cone!

Cliff shakes his head no and points to the menu; there are real-juice pops and some ice-cream-onna-stick.
