"Are you okay?" Hope asks the Baroness "We .. thought you needed time to..digest the situation"

"I am furious. But..."

"I imagine" She offers some soothing coffee

"I am trying to decide what an appropriate judgement will be. I shall speak to her, of course."

"Sir Mortwhyl says he'd like to offer his Boon to you"

"I appreciate that."

She nods "The other knights are on high guard. The Rovers still have a lock on the trods. Should we have that lock lifted ?"

"Not yet"

A nod "I'll pass that on"

A knock at the door. Probably Sir Morthwyl

"Enter."

Sir Morthwyl enters and kneels "Baronness. Nessa has spoken to the Satyress Jezebel" And he relates what was said

"Well. her being two-dimensionally selfish certainly clears my conscience."

"Nessa handled it with grace. She's an impressive young woman. Almost sidhe like her poise"

"She really is..." A sigh.

"And Hope is going to drown Irene in ice cream."

An amused look at that "I think Irene can manage the swim as the other childlings will surely help her eat her way out"

"They do have a way of it."

"Have you any idea yet what punishment to put on 'Jazzy'? Nessa asked me to guess, but it was just speculation onn my part"

"Mm. I have an idea, but don't have Elderform."

"Oh? If I might inqurie?"

"She regarded another fae as an object - a thing to be caught and sold."

"Perhaps some time as on object herself might drive the feeling home."

"Do you know anyone that skilled in Primal?" He ponders

"Clem is the only one I know offhand..."

"the Chieftain? I'm met her. Not an unreasonable women... as long as you can't see her midriff. " He ponders "Bix could get word ot her if you liked I am sure"

She nods. "This.... this is ot the part of the job I savor."

"I think an example must be made, Baroness, but the nature of that example is yours to decide, of course"

Sir Morthwyl says "I will admit, I am glad to be a knight"

"Right. She deserves a lesson, and to be a warning. But...." Slick feathers.

"What concerns you, Baroness? " Morthwyl says

"I do not want my judgement to be driven by wrath. I must balance strength with mercy - whatever I do, I must consider how the populace will see it."

"Oh... oh. A thought, my Gwydion friend."

"Yes?" He rises

"Come, let us go see the would-be kidnapper."

Nessa is pacing a bit in the hallway.

"Nessa... how are you?"

"Sparrow... I'm so sorry about all of this." She flushes a bit. "But I'm fine." (ping)

"Nothing to apologize for. I'm just glad you are safe."

the Gwydion raises a brow

"What are you..." She pauses, and rephrases. "If I might ask... do you know what will happen to... her?"

"Well, I'm going to go question her, first. She was, as I understand, hired."

She nods. "If what she told Sir Morthwyl was correct, she was working for some... some jerk who is paying for centaurs. I'm not saying that she shouldn't be punished... but I hope that the real punishment hits the one it belongs on. Even if she IS... not a very nice person." Her tone saying that she might be thinking something harsher that she doesn't want to say.

"She chose to take a bounty to capture a fae."

Morthwyl says "She did indeed. Neesa, this is like a hit man. Hardly a minor part"

A hoof stomps, unconsciously. "You think I don't REALIZE that?" And then she takes a step back and looks contrite. "I'm sorry. My head is still fuzzy, I think."

"I do not intend cruelty, Nessa."

Rather than be offended, the knight inclines his head

"Can she lead you back to her boss? Or will she turn on him for leniency? I know it's not my place to say... even as a victim. But my biggest fear is... how many other hunters were also hired and are still out there?"

"She will turn on him because I shall demand it."
