Peter O'Wang inclines his head "There we go"

"It.... it's made of glass" She stares at it

"Course it's made of glass, it's what I furking work with" Bertrand wonders why folks are so suprrised

"Anyway, I once did an arm, a hand isn't so hard."

She stares at it. It's one thing to see a glass hand, it's another to see it attached to you, bending each knuckle, wobbling at the wrist when you want it to.

The hold is still fit full of dross thanks to Harkson's old ways. Thanks to Sparrow, that dross is at last going to good use.

"Is the Baroness here? I'd .. I'd like to thank her" The piskie woman says

"Oh she might be, and so too might be Irene" A grin

"Oh yes, Irene's awake, good good. I worried about her" tthe woman says then looks ashamed "We should have been the ones to get her so"

The Piskie rep pats her shoulder

"Bertrand?" Sparrow enters, carrying a small pouch.

She smiles as she sees the nocker and piskies - it fills the room like sunlight. "Oh, good. My, you are fast, Bert."

Bertrand beams "Had a slow down" He says "Guy cancelled an order so I suddenly had a week to us" He bows "Like the place"

"Convenient for us! If you have the time, you should stick around for Carnival. I have your payment collected." She holds up the bag.

"Thanks, though I have to tell you, Melwyn here insisted on paying some up front, like a tenth of it" Bertrand jerks a thumb at the newly glass handed Piskie woman.

Melwyn, for that is her name, has flecks of gold in her otherwise silver hair, at least as a default, but just flecks, She bows "I... It didn't feel right not to pay SOMETHING"

She nods. "I appreciate that. Though the bulk of it is from Harkson's trove. My steward reminds me not to be too profligate - I'm not using his methods to build up the treasury. But..." Sigh, shrug. "I'm glad I can help right one of his wrongs. Bastard."

"Oh wait till you see Melywn's gifts.." Peter looks smug "I think you'll want her this carnivale too... and not just as a guest"

"Peter! I don't know if the hand can do THAT" Melwyn fusses

"If you could do it before, you can do it now" the nocker hurumphs

She raises an elegant eyebrow. "Do what?"

"I would imagine Bertrand could imbue this with as much dexterity as he was able to craft trollish strength for Colton..."

"The kith's magic transfers through the glass, but yeah" Bertrand nods

"Orrrr that." She holds up her hands, palms out, in a 'you got me' gesture. "I paint. Engineering is outside my wheelhouse."

"Well I.." Melwyn blushes furiously "I.. I don't have a Piano with me. Whoops"

As a point of fact, the hold DOES have a Piano , Harkson neglected it

"Oh! You're a musician?" Feathers fluff happily.

"She sure is.. a wandering musician can often find work..." Peter says

An owl flutter hops past leading them to another room, or trying to

"Stew... yes, I was getting to that!"

"Melwyn, would you be interested in a gig? I would intend to offer mortal cash, but we can negotiate if you would prefer dross..."

"You... let me see if you like what i..." Melywn seems to be stumbling "I mean.. I should show you, audition? For my self as well as you"

"Sure. We have a piano in the... oh.. oh, I guess it counts as a ballroom." She blushes behind her freckles. "Well, Carnival demands dancing."

the ballroom is already getting decorations up, and more, it's ready for the holiday when that comes.

And yes, a grand piano, recently retuned and definitely cleaned up awaits

Melwyn moves to it, and nervously sits down "Haven't played in.. god, so long." Nervously she puts the glass hand as well as her regular one to the ivories. "Well, let's give it a test." And goes all in, her fingers moving with speed as flight of the bumble bee trickles out. there was a noticiable nervous start... but once she gets going... it is, no pun intended, grand!

Bertrand looks smug as she finishes up that song "See I..."

Sparrow claps!

but she doesn't stop, switching to Chopin a smile on her face

"You always said Chopin was an asshole" Peter says

"He is, but damn it.. his music makes you stretch" She grins happily as she continues to test herself. Back on that horse, so to speak, she's riding

A few lookie-loos emerge to investigate as the music infiltrates the hold.

Why even sluagh mightt peek out.. from a greater distance

"She also plays Church Organs and keyboards and some synthizers"

That from Peter "Now, you were offering her a job this Carnivale?" Wang looks out for his people

"Do you do jazz or ragtime? Classical is great, but Carnival tends to be... boppier?"

She switches to 'The Entertainer' "Something like this? " Working away, "Or you prefer I roll a few barrels? I work a lot of fairs and oktoberfests so classical does not wow the crowds"

"Perfect! So.. let's see... party really starts rolling after dinner. Four hours, with breaks - Snitch is playing, too. Two hundred?"

"But.. you bought my hand" She says surprised , almost tearful in a happy way "I can play again BECAUSE Of you..."

"Two hundred sounds good, fifteen minute breaks?" Peter says
