She sets her book aside and trots over - careful not to step on his scrawlings. "Da? What are you drawing?"

"I am not sure" he admits "I was..doodling, and I saw.. glimpses."

"Glimpses? Like when we saw the centaurs... our centaurs? On the star path?"

"Odd ones.. " he gestures... and points "I triedd to think of who might have what we needed to deal with this and I..." the point again, to a desgin in the ground that looks like a winged woman

"Then I tried to think of those aliens we met.. I... know it sounds crazy but I wanted to know WHAT they were. I drew this pattern"

He looks baffled "It means something but I feel like I don't know enough to translate"

She fetches her notebook and shows him.... it's a rough sketch, but it is recognizable by the swirls on the cheeks, the insignia on the shirt... their strange spaceman, out of place among her normal notes and drawings of plants and wildflowers.

"I was worried I would forget what he looked like if it was just a dream..."

"A dream? It does feel like a dream" He nods "But it's real too. We're not just imagining this, we're .. acting a bit different, and that's not a bad thing."

A look at her drawings "Nice work"

"I peeked back over at the spot where the spaceship fell... there's just a few scraps left. I think some kids were playing out there, but I wasn't very close - I left when I saw them. I don't know if it's safe for anyone to see us... like this?"

"Maybe the space man, someone with as much to lose as us" A look "or if you see a woman with wings"

"Wings?" She looks up at the sky! Clear, lovely, just a few clouds.... "Are you teasing me, Da?"

"No... I know it sounds crazy but that's the feeling I got."

She sits and starts to sketch a little... a figure of a woman, with spreading wings, with the mountains in the distance forming a vague backdrop. "It's a pretty thought. I wonder if pegasus exist, too? Unicorns?"

"At this rate, I wonder if there are Manicorns" He makes a horn gesture at his forehead

"Don't say that! You'd get it stuck in the shower curtain." A giggle.

"What on earth are you two..." Rose comes out, then breaks into a smile at the gesture still held "YOu look..ridiculous"

"So I've been told' He looks at his wife "you on the other hand look magnificent" Admiring eyes to his mate..err wife.

Rose looks a bit pleased, more than a bit truth to tell "Let's not scare the daughter. Now. The RV.. is anyone else... does it feel, not just too small but..distractingly so for anyone else?"

"I don't feel comfortable in there so much. It's hard to sleep..." She admits. "I toss a lot. Last night I came out and it was clear, so I just laid on the grass... I guess we're lucky we went for the RV and not the trailer."

"A small blessing is still a blessing" Ross says nodding "But yes, it makes me twitchy too"

"We need to work on some solution" Rose frowns "I just wish I knew how to rent out a storage shed big enough for thee three of us while not showing folks we're now quadrupeds"

"I thought with six limbs we were bugs" Rosss points out

"Don't be gross" She informs him makingg a face

A long sigh. "We're going to need groceries soon... we're all eating more, so the two weeks supply we had in the trunk is... kinda mostly... gone." She eyes some dry-looking grasses, and shakes her head - no, not a grazer...
