"Green, but... stripey? It looks like puddles of paint that haven't been stirred up."

A smile to Ashlee as she takes the rock back and slips it carefully into a pocket. "You know Malachite?" She says, as though it's an old friend.

"Well, it's pretty. I don't know if I know it, not compared to how well you know rocks."

"I have painted with real ultramarine before, at school...." Siiiigh. "That's made from Lapis."

"You can make paint from rocks?" Baffled... yet... intrigued!

Glancing to see what Stew is holding.

"You have to grind them up, which.. you probably wouldn't like.."

She ponders this. "Rocks grind up other rocks all the time. Slowly, but they do. If you asked them first, maybe they might want to be something new."

"Well, in history, ultramarine blue was more precious than gold. You'll see it on really important people in paintings."

Stew is holding a large trade staring NIghtwing! aka Dick Grayson

"Can you show me one? I'd like to see if I can still feel the stone in it." A small smile at Stew's coloring book.

"Gold is everywhere. It's pretty, but it's kinda..." Frowning as she looks for the word. "Vain? It feels vain, like a sidhe." Oops, wince. "Like SOME sidhe."

Catir is whispering to Santa

"Oh, I don't have any... it's pretty hard to find..."

"You should have your concierge look for some. Or we can find you some stones and you can make it."

"Well... after Christmas, we can see."

A nod. "Okay. After Christmas. It's a deal."

Grete returns to admiring her coal and stone...

"Alright, looks like you're set." A grin as Grete gets back to it. tink. tink.

A tap on Sparrow's shoulder by Santa

"Ah, hi." She blushes.

"Ho ho ho Hi" He says

And offers her a small present

"That.. oh. Thank you." She opens it.

"Some young lady left hers in Missour"

"Look at that KIDS... " Hope's voice breaks out "The baroness is about to THANK Santa for the gift, and accept it graciously, to show us all about good manners"

And suddenly at least a half dozen little pairs fo eyes are watching

Sparrow.... cries?

Oh, she is. "Thank you! I.. this... oh... thank you, I didn't want to... this is so nice..."

Santa seems off guard, after all, this woman is an angel made flesh and her tears like crytal

"Well, " He clears his throat "You've been a good little girl this year, every one says so"

Then he says "Hasn't she boys and girls?"

Cheers break out "Yay!"

Sniff, smile.

"Oh you be sure to check out that car for the stuff left in it now." A grin

"Oh, right... it.. wait, a Jeep?"

"Did I just get one of those cars with a bow on it, like the commercials?" She starts laughing. "Oh man."

Santa hangs his head "Santa forgot the bow" Then winks

By now all the kids (Childlings and younger wilders) have gifts of one sort or nother

And Santa whispers in Sparrow's ear "I'm about to make an exit, like Santa does. Go out to your new car. We need to talk"

Her feathers slick a little. "I.. sure?" Tense, but she flashes an easy smile to the others. "Be right back, folks!"
