It all seemed like a dream, yet when Dagmar wakes, she realizes she is trapped. A kitten with a white slash of fur over one eye is on her. She dare not move.

Then the kitten rises, stretches, and bounds. Odin is young again, and with youth comes a renewed ability to create mischief. He leaps down and begins swatting things at the floor level

She watches the kitten rampage. This is weird. Not bad. But weird.

Her boots are under attack, take that, loose lace

There's paper under the couch, she only notices because well, she's watching the kitten's antics and the kitten darts under there now and then

"Mmph." She reaches down to snag the paper.

Of course, her hand is playfully pounced by trhe kitten, but Odin's claws are not old and proven, or perhaps he just doesn't WANT to scratch her. Still, she pulls the paper out and... reads:

The paper says 'I love Symon, with all my coal black heart-Lovecraft' And there, at the bottom, is Lovecraft's pawprint!

Her boon , her GUT, has her believe this is true

Snort-grin.

But, then, it's possible Dagmar always suspected or even knew this very thing without the need of yuletime magic

She tucks the paper in a pocket. She'll hide it away later. Maybe get the void some chicken.

Brown Dog takes this opportunity to lick her face while it's in reach

Always the left nostril!

"Gahhh, slobber-boy!" Ear-rumple.

Brown Dog looks up with with delightful admiration, he always does. He also seems a bit tired. The question 'look what the cat dragged in?' well the answer is Brown Dog, Lovecraft dragged in Brown Dog. Huh.. someone enchanted him? Oh well, it won't last long. I(t never does, he's just a mortal mutt, the BESTEST Mortal mutt...

(But perception plus Kenning with two sux or more will allow her to realize that is no longer so)

Wait, she's seen Eddie, and now Echo, and she knew Oak and... oh. He's Kinain , a canine one, as if his very blood has been changed.

And he STILL leans into the ear rumple

"....the hell?" She can keep petting him. He is, after all, a good boy.

He seems as goofy as ever, but he clearly sees HER larger size. That's not new, he's been enchanted before, but now it may last days instead of just a day, or even past a week? To enchanted eyes, his fur has now a 'mein' much like she has blue to her skin that mortals can't see, instead of just Brown he is... okay, the mein is also brown. It seems no matter what he's been through, Brown Dog remains Brown Dog. It's in his darn name.

But the fur does seem to catch the light more. Almost a canine halo if you close one eye.

Odin pounces Brown Dog's tail, who being a good boy, flops it about to entertain while he gets an ear rumple

"Okay. Must have been one hell of a quest, boy.'

Large eyes of a dog who IS tired, but still will take his pets and flap a tail for a kitten, almost as if to say 'you have no idea' but then he scares himself with his own tail and has to chase it, the kitten flees.. err tactically withdraws

Snort!

But as Odin observes from under the coach... (He's totally spying, not hiding) with his two bright eyes, he soon rejoins the crowd and goes back to Dagmar. In his OPINION, she should pet HIM now while the dog gets weird.

"I've gotten the kitten food" Tove 's voice says "two types. Tihs is .. so weird." But she smiles

"It's a cute kitten." She extends a hand for inspection.

Odin doesn't need to sniff her, he KNOWS her, so he just bounds on up like he's known her all his life... which, he did if you count the past life.

The kitten food choices include 'soft tuna puddiing looking stuff' and 'they're not really rocks and taste like chicken'

The rocks are good for his teeth, no matter what Lovecraft says.

"And to think, if you wanted, in a month I was going to take you to the shelter for a new kitten"

She looks embarrassed to admit it

"I don't want a new kitten."

She picks up the kitten, letting it crawl-climb further up her arms.

"Me neither, not when we have an Old Kitten like Odin" She says amused despite the strangness.

Odin clambers on up with energy he hadn't had in most of the time Dagmar knew him. Oh yes. Odin is Odin, grouchy and opinated, but he may also get into a lot more trouble

"I guess."

Heartbird flaps and chirrups at the kitten from its perch on Dag's horn.

Well, its beak moves - Tove doesn't hear the call.

The kitten looks up at the Heartbird, and seems moved, not to attack, but to check it out.

So to the other shoulder and looking up

"Well, you timed your quest well in someways. Fall Break at the college and such" She says "As for what's happened here... your refugees are a delight. I'm afraid Thanksgiving at the lodge is mostly going to be tending to them but already some are finding places to be."
