"Well, I suppose not, and I do know at least one Gwyd I really like " A smile "Now, if you want two horses, you should tell Baroness Kerri about it. I bet the Count would consider a discount for Rivervale. " She eyes the horses again, "Honestly these are all WONDERFUL horses and...."

At that point, the papers are brought in, and Dee takes htem first, nosey, "WOW, some great lines indeed. Yeah, I think the Baron would be impressed."

"Right. Lineage." Brow furrow. "What was that horse the boy was on about?"

"Beg pardon?" The Stablemaster says while Dee hands papers for each over after going over them first

"From earlier."

Dagmar is not in the 'business' of horses. So the lineage papers may not mean as much to her, but ALL the papers have various fancy names, and refrences to 'champions' and such

The Stablemaster scratches the back of his head, "WHen I told the boy we NEEDED the papers or some what else? If that's it, then there's the papers" He points

The stableboy/squire is still nearby, attentive and ready for his next chore

"But what's the horse like?"

"You can have well-bred lemons, and you know it."

"Oh THAT horse" The man says, "True, sometimes no matter how well bred a horse, something goes wrong. I didn't think you heard that. No, that one isn't any of these"

The squire stiffens up "It's my horse. You can't have him. He's scared of others after how folks treated him."

The little squire is not even kithain, but a kinain, but he stares at the two warrioresses as he's ready to fight them to defend his damaged steed

The stable master pats the boy "Those are KNIGHTS boy, you mind your manners eh?" Then he looks to the two ladies, "The boy loves that crazy horse, beg pardon. "

"I won't take your horse, kid. It's important a horse has someone that is fierce about'm. You fierce?"

The boy sets his little jaw "I'm fierce for him... no body should treat horses bad and I'll fight for the horses everytime. "

Dee says "Good man."

The squire only now blushes a bit "Pardon my manners or lack there of. I just... well, he maybe broken but he's mine, you see?"

"I've loved my share of broken things. And been loved while broken."

"Oh" the squire says, then he adds, "I'm G.W. Squire George to some. " ANd he bows, then says "You mind an opinion?"

"I don't mind, Squire."

"They're all fine horses, those three. I like em all" Something about GW's attitude indicates he never met a horse he didn't like ,but he goes on "So if none of them are losers, and they aren't, then you can't MAKE a wrong choice with any. You should pick the one you like best because that way it'll be more likely to get even more love, and they need love like anyone."

The stable master sighs, the old grump a bit more banal at his age, and a bit more...practical "Squire, they may have a niche that needs filled, or want more diversity in their breeding options. It's not just about like and love"

The Squire doesn't back talk to that, but he makes a face that shows he does NOT agree.

"Rivervale isn't a breeder, for all that we care for horses."

Dee looks tempted to make a smart ass comment, but decides not to and says "More of a Silverwolf thing"

"Well, " the stablemaster says "Regardless then, I hope you like your horse selection. I'm rather proud of all of them."

Seeing which one her friend really wants, Dee whispers "YOu know, if you really want another mare, I COULD arrange moondance to drop by now and then, and if you ever do breed either, you know Silverwolf is reasonable with stud fees and the like?"

Lady Ohmsford looks over the fence with a kind of 'everyone okay?' gentle inquiry.

"Star needs a companion more than a foal. I'm still not home enough yet, with school."

"I bet Ylva would like Lady O. I'll have to talk to Kerri, first, though."

"I bet Star would, and Lady O is easy going enough to deal with that equine prima donna of yours" Warmly meant, "Shall we move on, go looking for the Baroness Kerri to inform her? And maybe get some food from the fair? I'm famished"

Mind you, despite her teasing the prima donna that is star, The satyr looks wistfully at Shae's Truth who is now prancing a bit

"You should talk to your baron. S'all I'm sayin'."

" I hope second place is enough to earn his favor in this" She sounds doubtful "But your'e right."

"I'm sayin' I am actively starving also."

"And no shame in second. It was an even match."

"It was a GREAT Match, one for the ages" She pats her friend's shoulder "You, my friend, who should be a HUGE target, totally suckered me with that shoulder dip. Darn troll guile. Let's go get some food"

"Troll guile. Hah, you should meet my Oathmate." BIG grin.

A smile back "I saw him, lookat you, wearing his token, getting your due with that kiss. He must be clever if he managed to snag a prize lady like yourself."

A lovely shade of purple. "He is clever. Yeah. Known him pretty much the whole time I've been kithain."

"Better yet, you know his likes and dislikes now"

"Aaaand" She says as they say farewell to the stables and go out into the PEnnons grounds "he knows yours. Does he spoil you? Just a bit?"

"Sy's the best." Quietly, with great fondness.

Dee is happy for her friend "I know trolls aren't chatty , but if you want to brag about him, I'm all ears" the smells of various foods float all about them now. Vendors ,some in contests, some just happy to sell their wares, are plentiful in this area.

The smell of Shish kebab is closest, with options of meat: Beef, Pork, or traditional lamb!

"Well, he's private. So I don't like... well, I got lots to say about him, but I figure he deserves his privacy more than I need to boast about how I have the best luck I don't deserve."
