There is a thump thump thump on a door. Are her parents not home?

A sigh, and she heads down to check.

Looks like it is just her. And, of course, twobit, who is ready to rip the head off the intruder. If she can only reach it!!

Voices at the front door "There's a champion here?"

"Tales of her already abound, and at a young age" Another voice says

Brow?

She peers out through the window - she should be able to see them without being seen. Tove values privacy still, and has reason to be cautious of strangers.

And she sees an Eshu in slightly tattered and worn, yet still flaymboyant voile. She has a scimitar at her side. Looks younger than Dagmar herself. and there with her is a piskey with a BIG backpack and a rapier. At first she's easy to pass over, but.. second glance and she's actually quite lovely. Something oddly familiar about her.

"I guess," Says the Piskey "But you can't just expect her to do this, can you?"

"her calling and duty as a troll and knight" The Eshu says "Shame upon her if she should turn you away in your hour of need"

The door opens, revealing a column of blue muscle and green-and-gold voile. "Can I help you?"

Serenity's eyes look up, and up, and UP... "You said they were big, you didn't say they were national landmarks"

Tziporah elbows her charge, and adopts the tone of a certain influence "Manners." Then she bows to Dagmar "Dame Dagmar ap Gwydion, called by some the Hammerstrike. Right hand of Chieftain Brekke, and bearer of Flyswatter. I am Tziporah , a humble Eshu... " Some would question if there is such a thing, "This is Serenity, who took her Dream Dance earlier today. There was a chryhstladd napping attempt upon her... but she and I got her free. I have come here to place her in YOUR protection, at least for a few days. For I can think of none better suited to protecting her. My feet have let me here. Your destiny calls. How will you answer?"

Blink.

"A chrysalid? Someone tried to steal her? From where? You aren't of Rivervale, we would have noticed a Dream Dance..."

"Scarsdale new york" Serenity answers, "It was a july 4th pic nic thing and... some whacko carriage swooped me up with tendril whip things. Also I'm.. uhm " A blush "My parents maybe looking for me? I'm kind of an internet figure? 'The Bennet Bunch Adventures'? "

THAT rings a bell. Mostly because Dagmar's mom, Tove, works a lot of stuff on youtube and more. The Bennet Bunch Adventures are ...well, they've been going on for years. Not that Dagmar had access to that easy as Sam, but others thought they were just the most WHOLE some family

"Anyway, they're going to want to find me and... it'll kill me" Serenity believes it, "They'll mean well, but they'll put me out for all the world to judge and poke at and... it'll kill me. I just became who I REALLY am, and I'm not some doll to be put on a shelf and made to say the lines and do ..the thing or whatever. It'll destroy me, Dame Dagmar. I won't last"

Tziporah had hoped to tell the story, but Serenity's summary is full of heart, passion, and..well, truth where it counts. That'll have to do, "You see?"

She grimaces.

"Okay, okay. You don't need a troll, you need Anne-Marie."

"But yeah, you can lay low here while we figure out the rest of it."

"We may need a troll in case the carriage returns, or another like it" Tziporah says "We barely escaped the last time. I may leave her in your charge? I must seek counsel else where to get to the bottom of this story"

"Do you have a phone, Tzipporah the Humble?"

"One does" One also has a credit card. Being straight out of Scarsdale has its perks "But one has to be careful we are not traced"

"Yeah, well, I am not relying entirely on eshu timing. So - digits?"

Tziporah mutters something under her breath but then reads off the numbers.

(If a Perception Plus Alertness gets at least two successes, what was muttered was 'People these days. It's like reading IMDB trivia on the movie before you even see it the first time. Spoilsports')

Serenity is letting twobit sniff her open palm

Dagmar digs out her phone and adds the contact. She sends a text. "This is Tall Sam"

"I don't know if you know any short Sams, but I feel pretty confident on the designation."

"I think you have them beat," Tziporah admits

"So you'll protect me?" Serenity almost can't believe it. She's been told of the Escheat and the right of rescue, but the dedication surprises her none the less.

"Well, sure. You're one of us now."

Serenity smiles, a smile full of warmth and gratitude, "Thank you. I'll make up to you , all of you."

"She's leaning Seelie I think" Tziporah says "And I shall repay you by telling of your courage and readiness to many a hold!"

A brow quirk.

"Apparently, somebody around span some kind of yarn."

"You jousted with a car" Tziporah points out "It is known. Though I prefer 'dueled with a Thunderbird'"

Did Vali spread that story EVERYWHERE?

An amused snort.

"She jousted a car?" Serenity is definitely sure she heard that wrong

"Okay, why don't you two stop in a spell - Tove'd have my hide if I let you head off without food and drink in your bellies, Miss Humble."

"Well, I mean, I was already on the horse..."

"Please, allow me to tell you what I've heard, Serenity, while we take sup with the noble knight. I'd let her tell it, but trolls often lack the sense of timing, the need for epic scope, and I? Tziporah the Humble, will provide it. " She's wondering if she can make this 'humble' thing work for her.

"Thank you very much" Serenity says to Dagmar, and enters

"Lemonade?"

"Yes, please" Tziporah says .. and readies to tell the story.
