Jonas taps over the numbers again

Once more doing the finances. then he blinks

"Where did that come from?" Piper might hear him saying

But she does not, because she's listening to an audiobook written by that famous Nocker expert on Pregnancy Iza Woomberri, the amazing book called I have become the factory!

Eventually her ears start to steam from the cursing, even in a rather softened version, and she pulls the earbuds out. "Woo. A gentle nocker is almost more disturbing than the normal kind."

Looking over to Jonas. "Don't get too deep into those numbers, therein lies mundanity." She advises in a sage tone.

"We have an extra five hundred dollars, I can't figure out where it came from"

Her brow wrinkles a bit. "Was it one of those promotional clubs I played at? There were a couple I wrote off and didn't expect to actually pay off."

She leans over to look at his papers.

"maybe that's it" he says "The bank says it made an error, but darned if I can find the error."

"If the bank says it's an error, won't they clawback the funds? We'd best be careful we don't spend it. Overdrafts are no joke."

"my very thought" he nods "they say the error was on their part and we really have it, but I don't trust it not to reverse without warning. If we can hold off on that for a month... it should be set in stone"

"Hmm, okay. I don't have to buy anything yet, nothing important. Though I have to schedule some doctor appointments." She winces. "Maybe I should have set up insurance earlier. The 'Marketplace' stuff is all so confusing, and I never thought I'd -need- to see a muggle doc, you know?"

"Let me handle the paperwork" he offers "Anne Marie has taught me well in a lot of areas. I'll run each by you for final approval, we got this"

She leans over to kiss between his horns. "My hero."

Then, curious, "I don't suppose your deskwork or Siv's marina job offer benefits?"

"Just remember to tell the children when they're old enough to understand how amazing I am" Then he says "Well, the job I'm getting has some benefits but they're not in full effect. Siv works part time." He ponders Mmm

"Just wondering. Heatherbalm can't cure everything, and I suppose trying to use it often might be courting Bedlam. Might be best to make sure the entire fam is covered."

"unfortunately... we may not be...recognized by insurance companies as the family we truly are" He says "There's a bias against unmarried throuples"

FROWN. "I don't want to marry one of you and leave the other out. Some same sex couples use adoption to get around the system, but that's... weird, a bit. Not that I care what mortals think, most of the time."

Apologeitc "I know dear, but it is a challenge for getting insurance. I don't agree with it. I just say it's a problem"

She flops against him, taking advantage of his broad shoulders for a lean. "It's stupid."

He puts arms about her "It iS. " soft squeeze

She sighs. "Well, whatEVER. Wanna go for a swim? I feel like floating." Trying to coax him away from the paperwork.

He looks at the paperwork, then at her, then at the paper work "You realize this paperwork I'm doing is for us, not anyone else?"

She gives him a smile. "Doesn't mean you can't take a break."

"Tell you what, let's swim for an hour, and when we get back, I'll do the grocery shopping for you. I'll even stick to the list this time."

"I don't mind stopping" He assures, "One merely seeks recognition for improvement" a wink and he rises up "No banana hammock"

She laughs, and shrugs into a new t-shirt, one Jonas hasn't seen before. It says "Babies on Board"

"Oh wow" He grins and goes to change

There is a shimmer in the text, and though Piper doesn't notice, it shifts to read... "WIDE LOAD"

"Ah, did Rikki get this for you?"

"Yep! It's cute, huh?"

She turns and steps backwards to find her sandals, and Jonas hears "Beep... Beep..."

"Adorable. " he says wondering if he should tell her "If I catch her doing a prank on someone, should I warn them, or let it play out? "

She laughs, "Who'd she get now? It depends on whether it's hilarious or not." A grin.

"After all, we still owe her."

"Yes" He nods "yes we do" He says getting dressed and not answering her question "It is moderately hilarious"

"Oh, then let her have her fun."

"It's her nature, after all. And we don't want to crack down so hard on the little things that she ends up going overboard with a BIG ONE."

"I shall remember you said this" He promises

She tilts her head, curious, but decides to let it slide. As they change, she adds, "You've been spending more time at home lately. I hope it's not that you're still having trouble sleeping..."

"But I DO appreciate the company, especially with Siv taking on extra shifts in the Marina."

"Actually, the nightmares have stopped. "

"That easily? Not that I doubt Vali's skill.... any side effects?"

"A few odd dreams bout amazons"

A pause, and she asks, "Like, sexy ones?" Not upset, but curious.

"Attractive, but more like protagnists in a movie than just eye candy?" He says

"Mmm. Just don't leave us for Gal Gadot, and we have a deal. If she shows up, we're ALL invited."

A blush "Noted. And I can't blame you"
