And Basil laughs "Girl, what's next, you gonna double dog dear me? Sure, let's go. I'm not so stupid that I'll underestimate ANY Troll girl though" And he motions Sylvi to lead on

After a quick side quest to fetch her spear, she does indeed lead the way to a ring. There are one or two other informal sparring sessions going on, friendly tests of skill or impromptu training sessions for those who feel the need to improve.

"If you want to keep it safe, we've got things by the horses or by Tove or Kerri's stalls."

Sylvi spins her spear a bit, a flourish before taking a ready stance. "You set?"

"Oh I trust folks around here, even that Piskie seems to be fair about it. Though he was getting a drink to celebrate " Ives says more openly "Appreciate it, Dagmar. Chief Clem's right. You're good people"

Basil jokes "Excuse me while I whip this out" And unfolds his own golden hued spear and gives it a twirl then takes a stance "Ready when you are"

It's not atypical for some sparing for fun now that the events are done. Brekke suspects a certain Dirk maybe involved in some back section brawling with some other bravos of the wilder unseelie set.. likely for dross or coin.

Sylvi rolls her eyes and grins, then starts to circle.

Basil matches the taller kithain's stance, matching satyr speed against longer stride in equal proprortion, examining her own gait and stride

She's a pretty savvy fighter, watching before making a move...but she hasn't fought very many satyrs in her time. She changes her gait, making a feint at his side to gauge his reaction.

A shrug. "Crowds can be a lot for me, too. Sometimes."

An almost casual diverting parry , not too much power

Ives nods "With me, I'm good with crowds, long as i have a path. Closed in? Well, no Bueno"

Dirk's brawling corner is the worst-kept secret of Pennons, no matter where it's held in Bergen. Brekke doesn't interfere with it...and on some level, quietly approves.

It does seem to cut down mischief. When the authorities try to repress it, the wilders find... other outlets. Sometimes property damage

Grunt, nod. ("Got it.")

Sylvi resets and tilts her head a bit, then makes the same feint.

"You guys should leave Spanish to the experts" the enchanted bone gnawer tuts near Dagmar

Sylvi finds her moves being matched in turn, only faster!

"Oooh, nice," Sylvi compliments...but then uses her height advantage to push forward in a series of stabs, first to one spot, then another.

Ives turns to see Lupe and grunts to Dagmar ("Friend of yours?")

"Thanks" And Basil weaves , bobbing his head rather than letting her push him too far back and thwacks at her leg with the staff part of the spear to test her.

She sees the swing just a moment too late to avoid it completely, so it smacks the side of her boot as she tries to hop over it. A bit of a stumble as she lands, so she loses the chance to respond while Basil's side is still open...his guard is back in place too quick. "Hmph," she grunts.

Blink.

"What are you doing here?"

"You hop nice, hope you don't me saying?" Basil says tries to bring another swing around, but Sylvi is quicker to correct from her landing than he thought

Lupe says "Hey, you're dealing with a prodigal ambassador" She points to a sash "Check it. Sash." A grin "you gonna give me a hug or am I gonna have to climb up you and headbutt you first?"

Brow. There is, indeed, a sash.

"I dance pretty well, too," she points out, stepping out of his range with her long legs, and then a spin to try to bring her back into range...and hopefully swat him across the butt.

Well, Lupe was meaning HER sash, all official But yeah

Basil is caught off guard and gets swatted in the rope "Oooo , felt that" He rolls smoothly and counters with an abrupt thrust

Lupe says "Okay, no hug? I'm gonna use those little horns like a hoop to hang onto"

And she gives Dagmar a hug "Hey, Chica. Missed you"Then a light slug in the arm "Text me more often"

Sylvi catches that in the side, a good hit. She grunts with the impact, and reacts by bringing her the staff of her spear down on his head or shoulders, whichever it gets to first.

A brief hug back.

"I know I should. Lo siento."

"De Nada... truth is the pack and I get into stuff and... it just eats up the time" A frown "Lo Siento from me too"

Basil blocks but the force of it causes his knees to bend "You dance rough" He smiles though

A smirk. "You have no idea."

She steps back and touches the spot on her side where she got hit. "Okay, what do you want to play to? First blood, or yield?"

"Wouldn't mind getting a clue" He flirts then says "Lady's choice, but remember if I win, i get to buy you dinner" Is that what they agreed to? mm

Ives nods to Dagmar "I'll leave you and your friend be. Thanks, Dagmar. Nice meeting you, Lupe. I'm told there is a private spot, a bench near a garden? Might be good for friends" A shrug and he leaves off

A grin from Sylvi. "How about best of three touches?"

"Sounds good" He nods "If you win, you can buy ME dinner. Fair's fair"

A narrow look mixed with a grin. "I have a feeling I'm about to get scammed...." But she resets. "Okay, previous touches don't count. Starting from here. Ready?"

"Deal," And he snaps out a blow fast
