She opens the box. "It's one of Adam's shirts. He gave it to me, when we broke up. I thought maybe, there's not a lot of his stuff around, but if you're trying to find him, things linked to him might help?"

"And, a letter he wrote." Her lips turn down a little. The envelop in the box says, "Open and read only if you want honesty". Handwritten.

"Please - use it if you can, even if you have to tear it up or ruin it, but. Please don't read it?"

"Hmm. That might be very helpful, indeed. Good thinking, Piper."

"If you have to, I understand. But it was... personal, you know?"

About the letter, "Understood and agreed."

She regards the writing on the envelop with a bit of a frown.

"I know he shaved his head before his saining, and sometimes hair is a good way to track someone - there might be someting on his shirt? I haven't washed it, even though it's been in the box for a long time."

siv grows quiet

"I think this is a very good idea, Piper, and thank you." She pauses. "I know this is difficult for you. I appreciate that you are willing to dredge up those old pains to help somebody, even though he hurt you."

"...we hurt each other, I think. It was good, really good, for a time... but then it wasn't. Some things just aren't meant to be."

"Hm." She nods. Then she hands the box back to Piper. "I am on my way to a task. I will ask you to bring this inside and entrust it with the Hearth. Tell her what it is, and that it needs to be kept in a safe place."

Siv looks at Piper. Meant to be comforting.

She nods, and seeks Siv's hand.

Siv gives it, a gentle squeeze "My brave lady"

"It's just... things, you know? Not important, verse a life."

"And... Chieftain? Are you looking for willworkers?" She sounds a bit more hesitant at this, and holds Siv's hand.

A blink. "I...am."

"There... may be some that we could talk to. I've spoken with them before... and Zane knows them."

She considers this. "You trust them?"

"They hit the right notes with me."

She nods.

"Hm." She thinks for a long moment. "There is no formal treaty between them and Rivervale. They could bring great harm."

Siv says "They're musicians, mother. While that does not mean they're helpless, they're goal seems to be inspiring belief in magic. They're called the Muggleborn, the band name I mean. "

"You can maybe just ask them to, like, consult?"

A bit of a grin at the band name. Then a nod. "I have another connection that I feel it important to make. But I may well ask your friends for help, as well."

She nods. and squeezes Siv's hand.

Siv squeezes back

"We got this, mom"

She rests a hand on each girl's shoulder. "Thank you. This may make an important difference."

She releases them. "Excuse me. I must go."

"thanks , mom" A smile at the gesture "Good luck to us all"

And the wilders enter in to deliver the goods
