Olgar is on ground patrol when he gets the text. Plenty of Rovers don't guard the trods, rather highways and byways of the AUtumn land, but the trods are where Olgar is most comfortable, but sometimes he takes up the slack so others can frickin live. No harm done.

Then he gets the message on his text. From Gerd? His big hands fumble and look it over

"Son of a bitch" He reads

And heads to the southern most trods. Someone is going to have to brace them, reinforce them. As the only master of Dreamcraft for a hundred miles, looks like that someone is gonna be him!

And if Dagmar sees Olgar actually RUNNING towards the trod entrances, well, not like he's too old to run, but it's a rare sight

If Olgar is running, that seems like a reason to run after!

"Hey!"

He keeps moving, but that's no trouble, while shotput is her more her thing, Dagmar does a lot more track runing that Olgar ever did

"Sorry, Kid," He says "We got a big ass problem, probably already heading this way. Trods are about to get hit with a flood of bad"

"No offense, but you aren't doing THAT alone."

"You're looking at the only true master of trod bracing, and dream craft for a hundred miles" A beat "Certainly for fifty. Sure, you could fight any thing that comes through, but preparing the trods themselves?" A grin "This old dog still has a few edges on you pups"

The blighted face of Olgar takes some getting used to. Used to possibly scare Dagmar. Now? Not much.

"Fine, you do that. I hit the monsters with a big ass halberd so you can cast."

"It could be that bad" He admits begrudingly "You're not going to try to pull rank on me? Not on the trod anyway are you? Because I got to be honest, I've told higher titles than knights off when they attemped to do that"

She grunts. "I'm going to go hit the monsters. You do the Rover thing. I won't let any nightmares get through to RIvervale."

A grin "Dame Dagmar, you're all right" He doesn't tell her it will be dangerous. SHe KNOWS that. He doesn't tell her she could die. She knows that too. There is zero Coddling or attempt to stop her "Usual rules, stay on the Silver, keep that boon up if something tries to trick you, and keep your eyes peeled for travelers in trouble. If we have to run and no one harmed by our running, we run. In the end both of us are precious little flowers of the Dreaming and we should stay alive"

"I ain't in a hurry to die. Symon would be annoyed."

"Hey, he's surly that way" Agreement and they make their way to a trod rath. Normally it looks rather plain, but it is distended, bubbling almost "Jesus, I take one day awaay from it and this happens. Ready to go in?"

A grunt and a nod, Flyswatter in hand.

The trod opens and it's like walking into a storm where the rain goes SIDEWAYS... few could push past the pressure. Trolls, it turns out, are among that few. And into the dreaming they go

Jaymes enters into the house to find his wife drinking hard liquor, he grunts ("Bit early in the day")

"Our daughter nearly died saving us all from a tarnished trod invasion caused by mortal ignorance in willows but powerful enough to pump evil upthe trods even here like it was venom in the veins. She fought an ogre and dozens of other nightmare 'things' that Rover Olgar only half remembers, while he cast a working ritual to restore and strengthen the trod. She was so badly wounded it took a heather balm and a half to help her stand, and she's gonna need the balefire tonight on top of it. But hey, our daughter is a hero. And I am proud of that" Tove toasts and takes a Swig

Jaymes blinks and cranes his neck with a grunt ("Any more of that left?")

"Bottle's on the counter" She informs him jerking her thumb "Bring it back with you"

He nods. They're proud parents, but sweet Asgard...what a way to get news
