Connor fetches some string, and carrots, and approaches Stormwake. "Heeeere, pony-pony-pony..."

Stormwake gives the boy a look. The warhorse has to give connor credit, the lad has shown courage. Still... he lowers to sniff the carrot

One carrot is offered to his mouth, and if he takes it... Connor reaches around his head with a piece of string... "You can be magnificent..."

Stormwake takes it, crunching

A careful loop behind his ears, and suddenly, he has a spiraling... well, knobby... horn... er... root... of pure glowing ivory... um, well orange...

"Cleo, look!"

Stormwake looks imperiously offended. HOWEVER, this only adds to the effect of awesomeness, as Cleo opens her eyes and looks up "Oh he is, he IS a unicorn!"

Spark notices the treat, and starts prancing around, trying to reach the carrot. Alas, his sire's proud forehead is quite out of reach...

UNLESS... (flap? Flap flap??)

Spark flutters for his father's head harnass not slowing him down...

Stormwake backs up and protests!

"And a pegasus!" Cleo claps

Star trots over and lowers her nose to sniff at Cleo. The boys are being silly.

"Oh you're pretty" Cleo tells Star, "I wish I had a carrot for you"

She may not be a unicorn or a pegasus, but her coat is glossy and her mane flows like silk! Star has a bit of a prejudice against boys, Connor excepted - and there is a lack of proper young girls around the hold these days. But Cleo is one, and now she is here, so Star nuzzles her and lets the boggan pet her soft nose, if she so wishes.

Cleo does, and she laughs softly "yes the boys are silly" She observes as Stormwake tries to preserve his dignity from his carrot hungry son with wings "But they're nice too." Her hand is gentle, and doesn't presume to scratch ears or treat her like a dog

Connor watches, and his tail wags.

"Thank you, Cleo" Cleo says "I never thought I'd get to see a Unicorn and a Pegaus playing tag while I touched a star with my hand"

"Did I do that? I'm pretty sure they were just here."

"But YOU showed me" She says then a beat and a light blush and a giggle "You're name's not really Cleo is it?"'

"Are you sure? Maybe!"

"I'll find out" She says "I didn't meet many pooka" She admits

"That's because the wonderful thing about pooka, is I'm the only one!"

Cleo grins "yes, you're a rare and magical kith. Like Unicorns and winged horses. Hardly EVER Likely to meet one" Hey, she mihght know many pooka but she might be learning to speak their language

Stormwake sighs, as his son trot flaps happily chewing the carrot that was his horn.

A gwydion war steed should get more respect from his offspring

He gets a beaming smile from Connor and an offer of sugar cubes.

It's a small solace, but he'll take it

Star attempts to shoulder him aside when she sees the sugar!

"Well, his horn is gone but he's still a handsome fellow" Cloe observes as she deftly takes one sugar cube from Connor in order to offer it up to Star!

This girl appears to have a good social dynamics for horses too

Mollified, Star accepts the sugar and lips at Cleo's hands gently.

"Prettiest girl" Cleo assures

"There's at least two pretty girls here."

"Where's the other one?" Cleo looks abouot "Oh, right. Pooka"
