Brown Dog is just a dog, not a fae hound, not special... but he's a GOOD boy, and he leaps onto dagmar's bed and licks her face to let her know it is time to get up.

"time for schoooool" Her mom sing songs from below. the smell of bacon coming up

Dagmar makes a sound much like a grumpy hibernating bear.

Sniffing at her ear as Brown Dog's cold nose presses on the side of her face. Wag wag . Bacon! you want bacon? Course you want bacon. Maybe you could drop some?

"M'up, I'm up."

Shuffle shuffle shuffle downstairs.

Brown Dog bounces along

The smell of bacon is joined by eggs,cheese, and light peppers

Her mom looks up "Have a seat! "

She looks alarmed, not at her daughter, but Jaymes, who is eating his breakfast rapidly

"Could you perhaps , taste it?" she asks

Jaymes shakes his head ("Need to get to work. Short staffed today")

"Need help?"

"you have school" he reminds

Grunt-shrug.

A knock on the door!

"Oh my" tove has filled Dagmar's plate, and as the onnly one standing, she opens the door

Not one, but TWO young boys stand there, tails a-wag. "Hi, Miss Tove!"

"Hello again, Miss Tove" the other boy chimes

"Ah, Connor, come in, annd your friend. Who is he?" She opens the door "Dagmar, your squire is here"

Trot trot trot! "You know us, we're Dagmar's squire! Don't be silly." Mischief gleams in Connor's eyes, but it is nearly edged out by.... sudden nose sniffing. "Is that bacon?!"

Jaymes actually slows his eating to look over

"you know us, we're Dagmar's silly squire" Otto blurts excitedly "Bacon?" HELLO wag wag

Brow.

"Hi, Otto. Hi Connor. Yes, there's bacon."

(Yes, Brown Dog found a 'dropped' piece)

Brown Dog likes Connor, but he scarfs it fast now that more competition is here

"I founds him! All on my own!" Connor looks VERY proud. "Lilly was there too, but just to watch in case anyone died."

"Would you boys like some bacon and eggs?" tove inquires

"Have you told Chief?"

"Bacon and eggs can make a smiley face on a plate AND in my tummy." Connor nods. "Otto got the boot from the lodge earlier."

Otto says "Chief says I can clean shoes if I want to too many squires can make a knight tire" he gives a snap of fingers at a missed chance "But I hope I can still help now and thenn... you knnow" sniff "In case he needs help with the bacon"

"two smiley faces coming up" tove gets the hint

"Good job, short stack. Bet the Chief is super proud of you. I know I am."

Otto beams "He showed me there are thirty TWO flavors of color"

Connor gets a smiley face bacon eggs plate JUST the way he likes it

"Yeee!" An excited sound as he tucks into the breakfast - possibly a second breakfast. "Now that we have full fuel tanks, we can go to work today. I gotta show Otto how to hunt the groceries."

"YUP... Wiley prey" Otto says and looks to Tove "thank you for this. We were INCHES away from starvenation!" and he digs in

"Well you're both welcome" tove says

A soft snort, amused.

But then, Dagmar also gets herself seconds. She's not a small girl.

Jaymes finishes up and nods to Otto ("greetings, Otto. Any friend of Connor's is a friend of ours. Welcome to the Dreaming")

Otto's eyes widen "he's in my brain stem" then waves at Jaymes excitedly between bites "Hello sirrness"

"Maybe Connor could help at the store? He can do homeschool stuff when it's slow."

"Yeah! That's why we're here! I have to show Otto how to stalk the shelves."

He grins big.

Jaymes arches a brow "Otto, don't you have school?"

"We have a two story" Otto says "sis lives upstairs with the bats"

"He went to school yesterday. And his whole LIFE. Now he has a NEW life and has to learn THINGS he can't learn there." Connor reasons.
