Bergen is hammered hard by the snow, not just the mortal storm, but a deep and pounding (as snow goes) winter storm. Even changelings have trouble, though it should be noted that trolls, being so annoyingly tall, could plow through the snow more easily than the shorter kith. Others have to use elbow grease and cantrips.

That is not the only problem, of course, winter storms stir the imagination, and not in a good way. Violent ones often arise. Some silly ones- and sometimes they're both.

The furry sasquatch like creatures come in a rush. Many of them wear Ushanka fur caps, and symbols of hammer and sickles on jackets over their fur. A few even carried them as weapons! Their politics would be their business, but alas, they were aggressive about it, down right rude in fact. And they looked about for places to seize or destroy.

"Da, Comrades, we find ourselves in corrupt capitalist lands! We must seize the properties of the imperialist running dogs for the good of the workers of glorious Soviet revolution!"

"Da Da! Death to pig Dog Kithain of the west!" ANother says

And so it was, Bergen faced a rather silly nightmare but a dangerous one none the less. An invasion of Sovi-yetis!

Tiffany fires out the window, albiet with a chimerical blunder buss, "MERICA!" She yells, as she takes one Sovi Yeti after another as they make their way to the Gardner House through the snow. "Taste the hot lead of liberty!"

"Destroy the Capatlist Dog!" They yell

"Racists Sons of Bolsheviks," She mutters and keeps firing

Dagmar, of course, is charging them with Flyswatter and a war cry! "Ah-yee-ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-AH!"

"The Giant of Imperialism is upon us! Get more help!" Sovi Yetis call out

"Ask not who the Liberty Bell trolls for!" Tiffany calls out firing "It trolls for thee!"

"And Dagmar takes the plate... she winds up, she swings, she hits!" A halberd blow sends a yeti soaring!

The Sovi Yeti flies back, "Alas, I have fallen to an Airlift operation!"

Margilita breaks out her own weapon, strapping the heavy artilary to her shoulder, and firing! Rather than explosive , it lobs a specttral figure chimera into the center of some a group of Sovi-Yetis, and then the figure rises up looking like a cartoon ghost, and it goes "BOOOOOO!" and the Yetis, hit by theh fear magics, panic and scramble rather than fight

"That's run, you better run! That's a concordian crafted BOO-Zooka!" The nocker wilder says proudly!

"Ha!"

Dagmar's might deals with another quickly, and then Dirk shows up with a red white and blue buzzsaw

The latest Sovi-Yeti to be launched hurls through the air and lands, but thrown on a slight slope, he gathers snow and speed, until he is nothing more than a giant snow covered bowling ball of a chimera, which is fitting, for he strikes 4 more of his fellows as if they were bowling pins and scattered them over!

"Nice hit, Dags!" DIrk says Buzzing

"Thanks, Dirk!"

Finally, it seems all the Sovi Yetis are defeated, except for 3... who ask if it's too late to defect!

"Hot Dogs, Baseball , Dreaming bless Concordia!" They try

Dirk looks at Dagmar "Can I chase them around with the Chainsaw anyway?"

"I mean, this is America."

"I'm sure there's something ELSE to chase with a chainsaw."

"Well, yeah.. I guess MAGA jerks deserve it more" He sighs

"YOu have shown mercy" One Sovi Yeti says to Dagmar "We hereby pledge ourselves to life of peace in Near Dreaming if your baroness will alllow us"

"I make great ice cream" Another asserts

"Swear to protect peace and freedom, and I will vouch for you to my liege, for I am Dame Dagmar of Rivervale."

And they swear, instantly gaining Near Dreaming Bergen Citizenship!

"What a county!" One says in a thick accent. Smirnov or something is his name

And while the Sovi yetis are defeated (or redeemed by Freedom and Dagmar's kind offer) , still the snow and ice piles on

Dagmar tromps to the Lodge to check on the horses. Snow had already been brought inside the house at home.

Stormwake and star have Spark between them to keep him warm. Indeed, Stormwake is the one blocking the worst of the cold

The stables do have a propane heater, so Dagmar gets that started. And, of course, adds more hay!

Star nickers appreciatively, her rider is on the ball

Stormwake lowers his head in a horse bow of thanks

The goats get to be INSIDE today! The two of them share one of the smaller stalls, and have crawled on top of each other to form a ball nested with a pile of straw.

"Yeah, good thing. I think this snow's gonna wind up taller than your horns."

"Nyyyyyaaaa" commentary

"Helllp?" A voice calls from ..somewhere

"Help?" She calls back, and goes to the barn door to listen/look.

She notices a large tree...it's branches surpisingly lacking snow or ice. Oh, there's the snow, a huge pile. She can see a hat peeking out

"Helllp" goes the hat

Dagmar wades through the drifts and the sideways-blowing snowfall.

And she closes in on... whoever is i there...she pushes through, and revealed is...
