The gathering is not quite in Caer Falken proper, or at least not Central.

Rather, a side tower for a more private gather.

It has huge open doors, and thatt is wise. Centaurs are jumpy things

Buck paces, Tiara stannds still. Lane zooms all over the place. Jordan sighs and texts

Others are here too. It's not just a centaur sittuationn

Piper encourages Linwood, "Don't worry so much. It's just a ceremony, really. We've all done it!"

Linwood gulps "Piper, what if I just.. they name mee, and it's like my truename is like 'musical centaur #3' and I fade from notice? I'm not really that important"

She gives him a sudden, light slap on the rump. More sound than smack! "If that's all you think of yourself, then I'm a crappy teacher!" Piper grins at him. "You know you're worth more than just a background character. Buck up!"

Linwood starts then smiles and rubs at his rump dramatically, for it truly was more noise "Okay okay... you're a great teacher."

"A teacher is only as good as her students." She nods, sagely, and strokes an imaginary beard. "If you have to wonder what ifs, try positive ones. What if... everything goes RIGHT? What if... you have a secret claim to a barony? If you're a knight? If you have a marvelous destiny just waiting for you?"

"Fft" A snort "Knighthood? No way...that's Tiara's bit ..I'm in the hoofed beatnik set." A wink "I like the company."

She snaps her fingers obligingly, Beatnik style. "Good. I have a knight already, not sure I can handle another in my life." Winking to him. "Though, knights DO get all the ladies, they say...."

"I barely have the guts to approach one lady, let alone all of them" Linwood sheepishly says

"Anyone seen connor?" Lane rushes up to them "Today I get to be a shadowhoof for realzies"

"Ah, he's probably round somewhere?" Linwood answers

"Argh!" the girl says

"Jordan?" Linwood looks over for help "Lane's freaking"

"Lane, stop freaking. Connor's probably been kidnapped by Lily for a hostage. Let's take a breath and look for ransom notes" This is Jordan's idea of helping

Layne's eyes go wide "She wouldn't would she?"

"Let's look around" Jordan suggests.

Well, it gives the childling something to do

For Frank, it's almost amusing to watch Vali, the new mountain, scrambling to help with the arrangements until the Namer arrives

Frank stays towards the back. Brekke is there, of course. But, as on many court occasions here, Frank tends to stay in the deep background.

Olgar has been towards the back for now, and the ugly faced man glances over at Frank as Vali makes sure the dias is facing the right direction for magical naming, "Is it wrong I'm amused by this?"

"Don't think it's out of character." Frank says quietly.

"You're right, I'm not above petty amusment" He cops to it "But he's doing okay"

Frank grunts acknowledgment.

Jordan trots towards Olgar "Hey, I feel silly in a tie"

"Everyone feels silly in a tie" Olgar nods "Think of it as the price we pay for the patriarchal norms we enforce on women's appearance. We denied them pockets, we must pay for it in oxygen"

Jordan blinks then says "You realize you're mental, right?"

"That is not an unpopular opinion in this area" The Rover shrugs

"Fine... " Jordan says, then adds "Thanks for sponsoring me"

"Well, I am mental" Olgar smirks

The boy smirks back, then turns and trots off

"He's a good kid, pain in the ass, but a good kid" Olgar looks proud

Frank nods. No, he's never been comfortable at Court.

A few folks do give Liams wide berth.

Siv stands near her Squire, a touch protectively

Siv also seems to be dressed up formally, hardly any skin showing, but then, it IS winter

Connor IS at the Saining. Lane is his friend, he wouldn't miss it! He waves a flag - black background, grey paw, and a hoof in the middle of the paw! Well, the flag is construction paper and a craft stick. But he still waves it!

She waves back excited "he came. Guess Lily untied him"

The Rusalka from Teaneck is here as well, a handsome young man who looks as if he only half dried off comingg out of the shower
