Dirk heads towards the corndogs with a wad ful of cash

Connor notices him, and tugs urgently at Sam's hand. "Quick, we gotta get one before someone eats them ALL."

"Okay, okay..."

Dirk stops, licks his lips, but then sees Connor and Dags, "Sam? Connor? Hey" This delay might allow them to ease in front of him

"Hey!" And she does - gently stepping in place.

Dirk sighs "Corn Dogs are the only things I'm SURE I should get. You guys know what the furk the Chief would want? She never asks for nothing"

"Chief's hard."

"Yeah. I know, she wants something she carves it out of wood or something"

"Yeah, but see - she might like some good quality wood for carving? Cherry or walnut, something fancy?"

"Huh, that's not a bad idea.." He says "Thanks. Now..where do I buy fancy wood? I didn't see a wood shop here. I miss something?"

"Mmm - not sure on that, no."

"What about a wood carver-er-er?" Connor suggests.

"She gots one, but they get worn down, don't it?"

"You could even put her name on it."

"Uh? What?" Dirk blinks "Sorry Kid I... dont' get it"

"Like a stabber, but for wood."

He looks up to Sam.

"Right?"

"Knife."

Nod nod!

"Oh!" Dirk blinks "Yeah that's cool...thanks Connor, hope your bite stays strong"

"I practice it on food as much as I can." He nods.

Speaking of food, as the line moves forward, that smell of Corndogs gets more powerful and yes, better.

And hey, no one bitching about the line, no one giving the workers a hard time. Nice.

THey come up and... there's Jimmy "Welcome to Corndiggity Dog, how can I help you?" They almost don't recognize him. He blends at the best of times... but...

Hey, he's looking a bit low on glamour, the crowds are wearing him down.

"Jamie, we wanted some corns, please?"

Sam digs out some cash, and quietly infuses it with a bit of her own glamour.

"Sure" Jimmy takes the money "Just two.. ooo" He lights up a bit "Thanks"

Connor digs into his pockets as well. He finds a quarter. "Can you take tips?" He offers this to Jimmy as well, a bit more glamour.

Jimmy takes it, not too proud, and says "Sec." And they get six corn dogs for the price of two.

And he winks.

"Don't eat yellow snow." He advises, the promised tip.

"If only someone could help us eat these." He says, loud enough for Dirk to hear.

A quiet smile.

His tail wags, whapping softly against Dagmar's legs unseen.

"Yeah, I'll take two more" Dirk says. Clearly wanting a bit more in case his idea of sharing and theirs doesn't jibe. But thinking about it, he puts one more glamour in HIS money for Jimmy, then follos with his corn dogs "Thanks, Connor, but six is like standard for me. So how bout I take just one of yours?"

Jimmy now refreshed entirely, goes to work again

"Six! I wouldn't have any room for dinner!" He keeps two for himself, which is a big snack, and offers a handful to Dirk.

Dirk looks at Sam, "Don't tell me YOU'RE not hungry for some? Bigger folks get, the more they need"

"Yeah, two for me."

"We had Tove jerky. Turkey Lurkey."

"She does make good jerky, bit spicy, but good"

He looks over, then blinks "Holy shit. Look Who is Santa"

They have left the food court, and come closer to the Santa crowd. There, in red and white (And Blue, though most can't see that) , is Torin Tovad, aka Sam's adopted grandpa

Brow. Grin.

He's got the beard grown out naturally for this, maybe a bit whited up, and kids get lost in his lap as they're brought forward "Ho ho ho..."

Eyes WIDE. He tugs Sam's hand. "Why is Jack's pop working for Santa?!"

Indeed, Torin listens diligently to each child in line, bending down his great head to hear the confidences of the children
