A quiet knock at the door that stands ajar.

"Come in, come in" A tired looking Mountain grins, "Care to see the latest member of tthe Gardener clan?"

Brekke enters, a slight grin on her lips. "I hope this is not a bad time."

"No, the one with terrible timing is HIS son... bleepingg hours..." Tiffany huffs, but the also offers the baby up "You want to rub his belly for good luck?"

She approaches the mother and child, patting Vali on the shoulder briefly as she passes. "Congratulations to you both. All three of you," she amends as she accepts the baby carefully from Tiffany. "Hello, Theon."

Oh, he has his mother's eyes

"This is the OTHER woman you kind of share a name with, Theon Brekk" Vali tells their son "As you get to know her, you'll see why it's a compliment"

Brekke gives Vali a brief sardonic eyebrow, then returns her focus to the baby. "Your father is under the impression that he is funny. Occasionally, he is correct."

"We flipped a coin to see who got top billing" Tiffany smiles

"I would never presume," she rumbles, amused as the baby has grabbed onto her pinky.

"Thane Tiffany, I understand the Hearth was here earlier, and gave you some assistance. Are you in fine health now?"

He's got a so serious look as he tries his mettle aggainst her pinky

"I no longer feel like a football that got thrown against the concrete and my stitching broke loose" She mmph "I'd like to go home yesterday... sttupid right of ignorance"

"Soon you will, I am sure." She rocks the baby slightly. So very tiny.

Something in Brekke's pocket vibrates.

Once, that would have puzzled her a great deal. But now she is used to the infernal device. "Vali, please...." She offers the baby over.

"Sure..." Vali claims his son "Here we go, T.B..."

Brekke makes sure the baby is secure, and then she fishes the too-small phone out of her pocket. "Excuse me," she says to them, and then steps aside. "Hello?" she answers the phone.

A blink and a...complicated expression. "She is certain?"

A pause, and then a nod. "Then...yes. I will arrange it."

Vali looks over, concerned

Another nod, and a half-grin. "I am certain. I can do so. I wish to, if you agree."

"Yes." And then she ends the call and puts the phone away.

"All well?" Vali asks

Brekke looks over, and actually she seems pleased. "Yes. Yes, all is well. Hm. I must speak with Dame Dagmar," she says half to herself. Then to the two of them again, "When do you think you will be able to return home?"

"If there's a situation where we're needed we can use a little chicanery to fake some paperwork and early release... need us there tonight?"

"Oh, no. No, this is not a matter of such rush. But...well, I will be away some days. You may be called on. But..." Her brow furrows. "Perhaps I should not go, after all. You have new responsibilities." She reaches for her phone again.

"Stop that" Vali says "I can do the Mounntain job AND change diapers"

A blink, and a bemused look. "Yes sir, Mountain." The phone remains in her pocket.

"AND feed the kid...." Tiffany says

"No Moobulater" Vali tells his wife

"Wimp" She counters, then look at the Chief "And he's got others to help him"

"There are many who would wish to help you. I believe the Hearth is planning a quiet party for others to meet your son, when you are ready."

"She just can't help herself" But Vali looks touched "Well, if Siv is back with Piper and Jonas , that's three more folks I can pester"

A curious look. "Is that the case? I had not heard...."

Tiffany says "PIper got triggered by Squiring...ran away. Did't answer for four days.... then, Piper got on a quest, Jonas wen with her, so.. two weeks and a hair cut two bits where Fiona guilt" A surprising amount of truth "She totally fucked up Pennons. I had a talk with her for a few minutes"

"I knew of much of that," Brekke says, though she seems surprised by the large quantity of truth. "And...she did not." She looks uncomfortable about the last.

Tiffany sighs "If only more people were pooka, we have so much wisdom to give."

"Mm." A non-committal response. She moves to Vali and the baby again, offering her pinky once more for the little one's grasp.

"Is there anything I can provide for you while you are still here, or for when you return home?"

"Chief, I don't want to defend a lack of respect but... well, Siv's been out of her mind with fear of losing her lady love over PIper's anti Liam bias" Vali shrugs "But .. it might explain WHY She's failing to get clues"

"Chocolate for me, Vascetemy for him" She says

"Perhaps," Brekke says to Vali, though she really looks as though she'd prefer not to discuss it.

Then brief grin to Tiffany. "Noted. I cannot ensure both."

"You surely can't" Vali crosses his legs nervously

"Courage, Mountain."

She reclaims her finger from the baby. "Take care of your parents, young Theon. They need all the help you can give them."

Tiffany laughs.
