She stops and chews on her lip.

He raises a brow and peers at her.

"I'm not allowed to say."

“Says who?”

"The boss." She shrugs.

“Then it is what it is. I know better than to think you’d break your word, and it ain’t worth me picking at it. Tell me when you’re allowed then. Cool?”

She nods!

"I hope soon."

“Cool.” He does look curious, but like he said, it ain’t worth picking at… instead, “You got any of Tove’s cheddar biscuits set aside?”

"Let me check the cupboard. I know we have some super-sketch lemon cake."

“Hey, that’s good too.”
