He fidget a bit, then finally nods. "...rather, thank you for not asking me to not look into it myself."

"I appreciate you noticing that that took effort on my part. I love you very much and want to wrap you up in comfy jammies and fuss over you..." A look at her son "But that's MY Selfish urge, not fair to you. I WILL Worry. You can't stop me from doing that"

He gives her a small smile. "Nah. I can't, can I."

She smiles back "Not hardly, but.. I am proud to see how many times my worry is for naught. I enjoy being wrong about my fears. You're a brilliant young man .." Then she adds "And I don't know if you're going to be more Nick fury or Morriarti, but I love you either way"

"Well, one is a distinguished professor, and the other is a bully who lost an eye." A small smirk. "I'll tell you if I find anything out."

"Oh goodness" SHe says

"Thank you my dear"

"Oh, I.. when you get time, please talk to lovecraft. The neighbor's new dog appears to terrified of even coming near the fence between us"

He snickers. "That will keep that mutt from going on our lawn.... but okay."

"I think the animal is losing hair..at an unhealthy rate of shedding. It could be bald soon, and given it's a collie mix, that's a problem"

He tries not to grin at the thought. "I'll get her to let up."

"Thank you. I play bridge with Mrs. Dilford once a month"

He nods, and rises. "Thanks for the tea." And he heads out... to look into the stolen shipment, as soon as he figured out how.

And what an adventure that maybe!
