"Snow, snow, snow!" Connor chants as he hops from one giant puddle to the next. It's all mud and ice now, and he looks over the King household driveway with dismay, holding his small snow shovel. "Where is my snoooooow?"

"Connor?" Dagmar cracks the kitchen door open, peering out.

"Daaaaagmaaaaaaaar!" Connor calls in a plaintive voice. Hands on his hips. "What'd you do with my snow?"

"Hey. It melted."

POUT.

He points up at the clear sky. "Can you make more?"

"I'm not that good with weather magic yet."

He flops over onto the concrete with an OOF. "I can't shovel ICE. And we're not supposed to throw mud-balls

"Nope."

"You could tryyyyyyyyyyyyy." He opens his mouth. "Ahm 'aitin' for uh 'ow'fake"

Apparently waiting for the snow flakes to drift in.

"Would a snowball do?"

He ponders this. "Maaaaybe?"

"I think we have vanilla ones, let me check."

He sits bolt upright! "Vanilla?!"

"That's the worst KIND of snowflake!" His tail wags.

She disappears into the kitchen, rummaging before emerging with a coconut-encrusted snack cake.

Tove watches her daughter take a snack cake and peeks

"SNOWBALL!" He kareens over and smashes into Dagmar's legs.

"Gah!"

Luckily, troll legs are STURDY.

"You DO have snow magic!"

"And marshmallow, too."

CHOMF "Das uh besh kinna maguh,"

"Cool." That earns a little smile.

He offers her a bite of the somewhat mashed confection.

"Nah, that one's for you."

He BEAMS and finishes it, licking his hands. "This way there can be snow all summer!"

"True! Though summer, maybe sno-cones..."

"You're a MAGICIAN."

"Whatcha gonna do in Summer?"

Frown, shrug.

"Mow lawns again, maybe."

"Nanny and Nonny can mow the lawns! They're ORGANIC."

"There's that, yeah..."

"Though I mow other lawns for money."

"Oh, money." He says, dismissively. "I had some once. It wasn't a big deal!"

"Well, I like gas for the bike."

"Ohhhh! We can ride again!!"

"I didn't miss it, it's not nearly as much fun as sledding."

His tail wags excitedly though.

Tove calls out "Don't forget to change Odin's litter box"

"Weather is getting nice, so probably!"

"How can such a small cat make such a BIG smell?" Connor asks, somewhat in awe. "And why did he teach CJ?"

Tove must be listening in, because she sighs

"Cats like to cause trouble."

"Cats like their litter box cleaned" Tove sing songs as a reminder

SIGH.

"I can hold the bag if you scoop? " He offers. "Then we can play!"

"You go see Tove, I'll get the box."
