"They should prepare in advance and take the fight to the thallain, then. Hunt them down before they can strike.... or it'd be a good chance to use a Beaumayn as bait... a judas goat, and any hunting thallain could be lambs to the slaughter." He muses. Obviously he'd be on RECON and not a STRIKE team, but it's clear that he has a mind for plots.

"Why do you think Sir Vali vanishes sometimes and is hard to find? He loves killing them, Symon. They hurt Gerd's parents.. they tried to kill her. He stalks them like prey. They know he's coming... because they can sense him. But that's okay. He wants them to be afraid. He wants them to start running." SHe shrugs "Trolls can be very vengeful when those they wanted to protect are hurt. "

"I still think setting a trap is a safer bet. But to each their own. I'll go look for him."

"Well, you know where he and Tiffany live right? Closer to the school.. of course then it closed . Irony." Nadeen looks at him, "I hope you come back safe and sound from that quest, and , of course, with Dagmar"

A bit of a smirk. "That's basically the same thing, isn't it? If something happened that could take down Dagmar, there ain't no chance I'd be getting away."

"The thought had occurred to me" an actual smile "Don't die. It would ruin her Yule."

"Yeah, and no favors for mine, either. Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of depriving her of another Pretty Pony Adventure." A wave, and he's wandering back to his ride. "Hey Eden. I'm gonna wait around here for a while. Gotta see a Troll about another Troll about a quest. Keep the return fare for making you wait?"

Eden says "Sure sure.. trolls huh? Good luck finding one of those here"

He shrugs, and heads over to find Dagmar.

“Seems like half the lodge knows we’re going on a quest, but I’m still wondering the details... seen Vali?”

"Not lately. He wants this, he gotta be findable."

“Nadeen thinks he might be hunkered down from vision overload on Samhain.”

"Could be?" She looks towards the sound.

Vali waits out side , the Cold doesn't appear to be too cold out there, wearing only a thin jacket over his normal clothes

Symon is bundled up, and raises a brow- if it’s even visible under his knit cap. Which appears to be on inside out.

“Finally.” He mutters. Looking the man over for any new interesting scars.

Good eye on Symon. He noticed some along the throat. Looks like someone took an icepick to Vali's neck

“Fun Samhain?” He sidles closer, checking out the new look.

"Oh hilarious. " He says wryly "You guys finally ready to hear about the quest? I have a house you know?"

"Yeah?"

“Yeah, but you’re the one wanting us to risk life and limb. So I figured you’d find us.”

"Oh I see . Not willing to go to the quest giver, making him come to you. You know when I was a wilder I was eager for quests. Go across the state just to get told where to go and who to save" An amused look though

Grunt.

“So what’s the story?”

Earl says "Glad you asked. How do you feel about traveling to other parts of Concordia and the Dreaming too?"

"I like traveling... I mean, I've not been that many places."

Symon looks more guarded. “Not really my thing. I mean, there are things I’d like to see like some old world mausoleums, but mostly...” he shrugs. “But if it’s for a quest... a worthy one... I guess?”

"For a map.. or more accurately, pieces of a map. Torn into five pieces. Five pieces. Five locations . IT could go smoothly for parts. Like shopping and before you ask I will give you dross and money to help cover costs. Others are going to be dangerous. . There are rewards if you pull this off"

"This isn't some weird plan for geography class?"

"You might end up you wished you paid more attention in that class" He says "But no. "

Symon looks unsure. “Maybe it’s not a quest for me. Traveling, and shopping? Sure you wouldn’t prefer, I dunno, Sylvi, or Siv? I might just hold you back.”

“Wait, what is the map TO?”

"I guess if you don't want to..."

"Oh that..." Vali says "that's my little secret to be shared if ever with whoever helps me to piece it together. Symon, this is a hunt for antique map cut in four slices. I think a sluagh would be very useful, but I won't bully you into it. "

“No, I want to!” Dagmar can hear the truth there. “But I worry I’ll just hold you back.
