“...I don’t think anyone can see my EARS if I wore this.” Wide eyed up at his Knight. “That’s awful.”

"How awful. Guess we'll have to deal, yeah?"

“It’s like a hat, but you wear it all year round, so no one gives you a funny look in the summer... and if they did, I bet you’d be going by SO FAST....”

Not quite daring to hope. But maybe?

Only now does Connor notice the cut on Dagmar's arm.. shallow, and bandaged.

"Well, we can't leave it here..."

She sits, resting hands on the grips.

He tugs at her arm - the other arm. “Are there any bandaids in the glove compartment? IS there a glove compartment? Who puts gloves n there anyways? Isn’t it a snacks compartment?”

"I don't think they have those in bikes?"

"Man, this thing is fuckin' awesome..."

But does s he know how to drive it?

“Your arm is bleeding out!” He remarks, remarkably calm. And checking Dagmar over for any other wounds., before looking at himself as well. the Knight FIRST though.

"Oh, hey, yeah..."

A bruise on her side. She's had worse from cooking accidents

Grunt. "Not too deep. Nothing too bad."

He fusses for a moment, then offers, “It WOULD get us back to a first aid kid faster...” Hugging his helmet close.

"Well... well, you gotta wear your helmet. Is there a seat belt in that car?"

He climbs up onto the back of the motorbike, balancing so that he can set the larger helmet onto Dagmar’s head. Then his own, and checks for a belt in the sidecar.

There is

Grunt. "Buckle."

“Only YOU can prevent forest fires.” He sighs, and buckles in. “snapped, crackled and popped.” Bouncing. Bouncing! It’s a good thing that he’s buckled in.

Dagmar starts the Hammerbike with a roar!

It is not a glorious first ride - a spurt forward, jerky stop and go, stalling...

Connor is not a back-seat driver. But he MAY be a sidecar yapper.

Thank god, no cops catch them

They make their (somewhat awkward) way home to the Barn.

Eventually Dagmar may notice that whenever in motion, Connor is adding a rumbling soundtrack, “vrrrrr-vrrrrmmmmmmmm vrrrrrrrrmmmmm.....” After all, it worked for Ralph, to make HIS motorcycle go.
