Dagmar, for the record, is in the stables. Hand-feeding Star apple slices and raspberry leaf mixed with oat mush.

Myrttle Anne (With Jack's help) has met all the horse's herbal needs

Star might be feeling less discomfort, but she still feels annoyingly heavy

"Need to show you. Come on." Sylvi leads Gerd back to her room. "Remember this?" she indicates the mirror on the back of her bedroom door, the mirror she got from Nocturnus.

"Yeah, I remember it" She says

"It lets me speak to somebody else, and see where they're at. And I'm wondering...I mean, would it be a good idea to try to see where Nadeen is with this? So if you need to get to her fast...?"

"Your mom already gave me the big flares in the airs warning about flicker flashing INTO a hold, but I was there already, I got a peek, though admittedly my focus was more on getting Connor the hell out at the time" SHe llooks at the mirror "I know the spot outside the Hold's doors too." She says "SO legal that... but.." A bit of her lip "Yeah, I guess it would help me memorize. If we use it to talk to Nadeen it's not even really spying is it? NO different from a video conference"

Sylvi bites her lip. "That's what I'm thinking. But...maybe if everything's really okay, maybe we shouldn't risk pissing them off just yet. But...keep it as an option if things go sideways?"

Gerd looks at Sylvi and stares "Wow. Huh." As if seeing something

"Thank you" gerd simply says "Not just for trying to help me help her, but .. I always thought of you as so damn sure of everything you do. Nice to know you're as twitchy as the rest of us" A smile "What's your gut tell you?"

"Um...wow, okay, yeah. I mean, I'm not just going to do something stupid when somebody else's life is on the line. If she weren't in an Ailil hold, maybe." A deep breath. "I think...my gut is saying not yet. Just...be ready if we need it. This isn't the time to field test, y'know?"

"Holding it in reserves has its merits. Look I can get to the hold. Depending on weaverwards or hte like, I should be able to get to Nadeen. It's cool. Far as I know, no one at Silverwolf knows I flickerflash.. yet. After Wudlig drove us back" A fond smile

Sylvi grins. "You've spoken with him, since? I mean...there was the jewelry box...."

"I... I .. yes, one speaks... they do that, boys, they talk to you, they insist on it" A cough "It would be rude not to talk back so." A blush

Amused, but trying to keep a straight face. "Totally rude. And gifts. Rude to accept without returning in kind, right?"

"Yes," She says "Exactly," Summoning her prim "So.. if a girl gives a boy a box of chocolates shaped like little gears it's totally just her being nice and returning the .. courtesy"

"Awww!..." Sylvi stops and clears her throat. "I mean, AHH, yes, courtesy. Very thoughtful courtesy." A nod.

BLUSH "You're patronizing me now. I'm old enough now to realize it. However, I'm mature enough to roll with it and take it as a win"

A sigh "I don't know he's.. giving me gifts, and making a fuss. He's doing the courtly LOVE thing... I .. get that. I just.. for once the old man in my head is clueless. You'd think I'd LIKE that, but no.. I mean what if I screw this up?"

"Well..." Sylvi sighs. "Screwing it up sucks. Been there. But it's survivable, and the chance that it might not get screwed up makes it worth the risk."

'Well, my first big crush was that Eiluned jackass.. you know? " A pause "That's not true. I think my first big crush might have been Viggo as Aragorn.. I did not know what I wanted from him but at the time it certainly felt.. tingly" A cough "Point is my actual record isn't great"

Sylvi grins. "Viggo was hot." A nod. "Anyway...you've got a different situation than me, in that you got hurt more than you ended up hurting someone else." A rueful shrug. "With Wudlig...I don't know, he seems sincere. He might not be always what you want, but he seems to be treating you right right now. I mean, he's not pushing you too far too fast, right?"

"No, he's nice I..." a touch defensively on behalf of the nocker "He's a gent. I mean, he's not pretty, but he's charming? If that makes sense? God he's brilliant too. "

"Yeah? Brilliant?" Giving her a chance to ramble. If Flopsy is nearby, she reaches over to scritch him on that spot right between his ears.

"He knows how to conserve space and hide it away in fashions that makes those tiny House builders look like morons" She says

"And he showed me this shifting maze box he made. It has like a 113 combinations... I mean, Sally mae knows math, but he's like a geometric prodigy"

"That's really cool. Hmm...I wonder if he and Bertrand could team up and craft something. Like...the craziest House of Mirrors every."

"Probably, yeah" Gerd nods trhinking about it "Maybe something less frightening that What COunt Jude's got though"

"I've heard stories, and they don't make me want to visit, no."

"Oh the place over all is GREAT" Gerd says "Rides and artists galore. Just two places you want to avoid is all"

"Noted. So...yeah, a nice and intricate House of Mirrors."

"I should introduce them, knowing nockers they'll either hate each other's guts, be best buds , or both"

"Probably. Chances are small of them just saying 'Oh, hey,' and leaving it at that."

"Well, Wudlig is mostly helping Blackgate right now.. security things. " She says "Meaning he knows Colton pretty well. Maybe we should. .uh. I don't know if 'double date' is the word?"

"Ooooh...wow, y'know...yeah! I'd like that! Besides, Colton has been working way too hard lately. He needs a break."

"Gee, he becoems a knight, AND a storm... and works hard. You might be to blame for falling for a troll there, Girl" Wryly

Sylvi rolls her eyes. "I wasn't exactly complaining. I mean, I admire it. But doesn't mean double-dating is a bad idea."

"I agree" she says "Sides, they know each other, they get along. SO, we should see how tight they are anyway. And it gives us a chance to cover for each other"

Sitting on her bed, Sylvi props her chin on her hand. "That sounds sneaky-ish. Cover for each other?"
