Many would not recognize DiDi to see her. Still a bit worn by hard years and a hard life, she's no beauty but regular hot showers, access to soap, and regular meals can work wonder to bring life back to anyone's eyes.

She works the convenience store for pretty low wages, but then, it's hardly making hand over fist. Sure, one night some psycho might put a gun in her face, but that's really not so different from any day of the week for the last few years is it?

She wears a mask that says 'Have a nice day' on it, to set a good example. Not all customers wear one at all. But as it rarely gets crowded in here, she supposes it will be all right. She wipes things down now and then anyway.

Zane enters in. Sometimes she remembers him...wearing different shoes? Odd thought, but when she looks at his feet, she just doesn't see the shoes as making sense. Which is odd, sneaker are almost a default for teenagers and adults alike this season.

He is wearing a mask... but she recognizes him.

"hi, Zane" She says "the usual?"

"You know what I like," Zane says with a lazy grin.

She gestures to the rows of donuts , not the freshly made sort...

but the wrapped in plastic 'this is junk food!' little donuts

Including Zane's kryptonite... those powdered ones that were impossible to eat without making a small mess.

Didi pulls it out for him, ,"You know this stuff is not healthy right?" A smile

"Why do you think I buy it in private? My mom would be appalled... and who knows.. Piper might either chastise me to eat healthier, or steal em! " A pause "Or both"

"What about Lydia?" She reminds.

"Lydia would snitch one while Piper and I were arguing. Nope nope nope," Zane admits "This dirty habit must be kept from home. This is my powdered donut den."

"My heart swells with pride to serve you when you word it that way" DiDi says dryly.,

Zane grins. Too adorable really, Didi realizes. Adam and Zane are both too cute. Real heartbreakers for the young ladies those two. She wonders how Adam is doing? He's a good kid.

"How is Adam doing?" She asks

"Oh...he's working on life goals, keeping him busy, and when he's not busy, my cousin is snitching my wing man. See? she's got my pal hostage. NO way I can trust her with my donuts." He also gets himself a Pepsi.

"Life goals at his age? Huh.. your generation might just be better than mine" she says "Good on you both." She rings him up.

"No 'better generation discount'?" He asks with a smile.

She smirks "no, i guess I'm just old and petty."

"Vintaged," he assures, "Vintaged like fine wine."

"Cute. STILL no discount." she says

"Drat." He says but pays "How are you doing here in the store? I mean, you like it?"

"Yeah, I mean, it isin't paying big bucks but the hours are pretty reasonable and the boss is nice." Didi says

"You should ask for a raise after your first month, don't let em take you for granted" Zane suggests

"Why, when I can snitch powdered donuts and get away with it" She blinks at him.

"oooo mean" he says

Her turn to smirk, "Go on, save some of that bullcrap for girls your age. They'll love it."

"Counting on that" Zane says, waving and heading out.
